Because at some point, the only thing valuable from humans will be Art.

2018-06-23 02:29:45 UTC

When a generation ago people had like five, now people have one or two.

2018-06-23 02:29:50 UTC

What you'll find is that things that were not economically feasible before due to labor costs will become feasible once human labor is much less valuable.

2018-06-23 02:30:01 UTC

Like servants.

2018-06-23 02:30:02 UTC

That's possible

2018-06-23 02:30:43 UTC

Nowadays wealthy people have their servants in the form of illegal immigrants because that permits them to end-run around minimum wage laws.

2018-06-23 02:30:51 UTC

There's also the fact that education costs may drop too, letting more get into design and development fields

2018-06-23 02:31:33 UTC

But eventually such low-skilled labor will have such little economic worth that everyone will be competing for it. Everyone who can't do something that requires a high IQ at least.

2018-06-23 02:32:14 UTC

And there are jobs where people want humans for the sake of humans, like in healthcare or education.

2018-06-23 02:32:39 UTC

Nobody wants to have their arse wiped by a cold metal claw when they're in their 80s in a home somewhere.

2018-06-23 02:33:02 UTC

Not everyone will be smart enough to innovate.

2018-06-23 02:33:12 UTC

Thats not something that can be thaught.

2018-06-23 02:33:12 UTC

^

2018-06-23 02:33:27 UTC

That is the key fact that so many people refuse to accept.

2018-06-23 02:33:33 UTC

Not everyone needs to innovate, most people in the fields are the people who make plans possible

2018-06-23 02:33:58 UTC

For example, I can design a car, but I need other people to help me bring it to reality

2018-06-23 02:34:13 UTC

Metal sintering.

2018-06-23 02:34:34 UTC

Here's something interesting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S59JlEdu4bU

2018-06-23 02:44:10 UTC

Well lets say that theres some things that are impossible to innovate under current circumstances.

2018-06-23 02:44:25 UTC

Many many things.

2018-06-23 02:51:21 UTC

I meant automate not innovate

2018-06-23 02:51:24 UTC

Certain tech jobs do not really required much intelligence to actually do. However, you do need to be trained to do them. You need to be taught the tech. This becomes a problem when companies refuse to offer programs to train workers for these positions and most of the schooling remains expensive. Particularly for the people who's jobs are being automated. As for software engineering, testers are an absolute necessity and being "dumb" is actually a bonus in some respect there. What better person to break your code than a fool.

>Nobody wants to have their arse wiped by a cold metal claw when they're in their 80s in a home somewhere.

2018-06-23 05:34:06 UTC

I read this

2018-06-23 05:34:13 UTC

Looked to the right

2018-06-23 05:34:26 UTC

And this toilet has automated ass wiping

2018-06-23 05:35:01 UTC

So, I'm not really sure about that @Atkins

2018-06-23 05:35:52 UTC

Pic for proof

2018-06-23 05:36:08 UTC

Ahh can't post it here. Gonna post in <#398973785426100234>

stupid people should 100% be part of the testing process when it comes to tech. I can't tell you how many Arcade Games I deal with that are just completely unusable because the manufacturer didn't account for the stupidity of the average person that goes to an arcade

2018-06-23 07:18:33 UTC

and every time the game is up and running some fucking retard manages to destroy it within the hour

2018-06-23 07:33:31 UTC

I used to have a small arcade route. Always sad to watch fully grown adults overhand skeeballs into the wall behind the machine.

2018-06-23 07:57:23 UTC

I worked in QA testing once, for a local game company. It was the most soul sucking thing I ever did

2018-06-23 07:57:40 UTC

You had to do the exact same action, in every possible spot

2018-06-23 08:41:25 UTC

In Japan I never seen a broken Arcade

2018-06-23 08:41:32 UTC

And there's a lot here

2018-06-23 08:41:49 UTC

They do a lot of maintenance though

2018-06-23 08:42:06 UTC

Watching some people play arcade games gives me an aneurism

2018-06-23 08:42:29 UTC

I could never actually own my own arcade
