yea, go for it. I'm getting a little tired from today's food. i overate turkey and biscuits. but it was sooo good with the gravey o it
haha, ok
what do they eat in Germany for Christmas dinner? We eat turkey and ham
pumpkin pie, sweet tea, stuffing (bread and vegetables baked for like 2 hours)
not sure about other families, but we always had something different each time
this time sausages, sometimes goose, sometimes raclette 😄
but sausages are popular imo
For us, it's usually Turkey and Ham. Saussages and Schnitzel and Brautwurst are every day foods
and sauerkraut 😃
ahh yes saurekraut with mustard and peppers
have you ever had i think it is spelled "nachtwurst"? we had that at a gathering at my cousin's house this afternoon. and it was pretty good
haha, nope
"night sausage"?
yea it's' really black, and has blood in it
served cold too
you slice it, and put it on some like gouda cheese and make a sandwich with it
i know Blutwurst, "blood sausage" - but I'm not a fan tbh
lately I prefer good old Weißwürstl', Bavarian style
with Sauerkraut, Bread and Weißbier ideally
*bread
That's one thing to love about Germany btw - delicious bread, everywhere
No other place I've been to compares in terms of bread choice and quality
yea, we have a shop around here that makes fresh breads European style and my favorite are the German/Polish/Czech breads. they are perfect, much better than say italian or french bread
Belated my time but happy Christmas Gab
"I always saw nationalism as a more politically formalized extension of basic tribalism. For Anderson it appears to be only a recent "invention"."
YES THIS IS LIBERAL TROPE
"NATION-STATES WERE FIRST TIME NATIONALISM WAS TRIED!!1!"
OBVIOUSLY A LIE
BY THOSE WHO NEVER READ PHILOSOPHY
NATIONALISM AS CONCEPT WAS ALWAYS PRESENT
IT WAS RE-FORMALIZED WITH RISE OF MODERN STATE, VERSUS MONARCHIC/FEUDAL NATIONS
THEY LOOK AT THAT AND SAY "THIS IS WHEN IT WAS INVENTED"
LIBERALS ARE MORONS AND ALWAYS LIE
GOOD MORNING
Hey Brett
It was always called Patriotism
Caring about your own tribe
Egyptians were Aristocratic Monarchy, but Egyptians considered themselves patriotic nontheless
Athenians were fiercely patriotic
