That's completely fine. I don't see a problem with that

2018-07-19 13:29:57 UTC

There are actually lots of legal Ethiopians in Israel and government programs to bring more.

2018-07-19 13:30:18 UTC

Yeah come to think about it, they also have palestenians living there

2018-07-19 13:30:20 UTC

And serving

2018-07-19 13:30:25 UTC

Yup

2018-07-19 13:30:31 UTC

You dont have many isrelis in palestine

2018-07-19 13:30:42 UTC

Druze, Bedouins, Palestinians, etc.

2018-07-19 13:30:53 UTC

Israel is 20% arab.

2018-07-19 13:31:40 UTC

Anyways if it was an ethnostate they are doing a bad job of it.

2018-07-19 13:33:28 UTC

It's just america

2018-07-19 13:34:04 UTC

Huh, it would be really ironic if the Jews became the new nazis

2018-07-19 13:37:49 UTC

Enforcing borders isnt a issue, but the above bit that was linked, was something that is now part of their constitution

2018-07-19 13:38:33 UTC

Israel was always for Jews now it’s just written. I don’t think it will change policy.

2018-07-19 13:39:40 UTC

If they start deporting non Jewish citizens I’d be concerned.

2018-07-19 13:41:10 UTC

What does "right of national self-determination" mean? o.O

2018-07-19 13:42:35 UTC

nazi obvs

2018-07-19 13:42:41 UTC

Im trying to actually find what the bill contains

2018-07-19 13:42:56 UTC

But im failing to find any article that actually gives a link or spells out the bill

2018-07-19 13:43:35 UTC

It was a change/addition to their constitution

2018-07-19 13:44:31 UTC

But other then removing arabic as a official language, and the bit of exluciding 'self determination' to jewish people, cant find many specifics

2018-07-19 13:52:17 UTC

Yeah Im bad. I got mad in advance

2018-07-19 13:54:34 UTC

I think it’s a bunch of stuff about national symbols, holidays, language, and stuff like that.

2018-07-19 13:55:27 UTC

Wacka gave a good link in general

2018-07-19 13:58:15 UTC

So basically it doesn’t change much.

2018-07-19 13:59:41 UTC

Admittedly, Yeah. Its going to piss off people who oppose Netanyahu/Etc, but it doesnt seem like it will have much of a effect on policy. It did inject a few things currently being done into the constitution though.

2018-07-19 14:01:53 UTC

Mostly just solidifies things already being done.

2018-07-19 14:02:04 UTC

Basically.

2018-07-19 14:04:04 UTC

which makes it hard to undo

2018-07-19 14:05:02 UTC

Yup.

2018-07-19 14:06:01 UTC

Not that I think it would have been anyways. It’s been like that for the past seventy years.

2018-07-19 14:06:54 UTC

most likely not

2018-07-19 14:06:59 UTC

but its just that much harder

2018-07-19 14:07:24 UTC

like, the reverse point is true: this change wasn't needed, it most likely was not going to change

2018-07-19 14:08:51 UTC

Yeah it could go either way.

2018-07-19 14:11:02 UTC

I kind of think that when there are so many people trying to delegitimize Israel that something like that can be useful to implement.

2018-07-19 14:12:59 UTC

Enshrining the settlements isnt something i approve of myself

2018-07-19 14:14:53 UTC

The settlement part is pretty vague and could be interpreted as either "people settling in Israel by moving there" or "expanding into the West Bank". Maybe it was vague on purpose.
