I just use chrome forks with Firefox as backup. Iridium is nice and privacy focused
Chrome isn’t good because google. I’ll need to see what iridium is.
Chromium?
Iridium, not chromium
It's another fork
what's the difference between chromium and iridium?
Iridium is like a pseudo private browsing mode and it blocks a lot of shit
The catch is that it blocks some sites entirely, which is why I have Firefox
@Grenade123 you have nowhere to go. All the major web browsers are like that.
Also it sounds like if you aren't using Mozilla's other apps/plugins that this won't affect you
not saying it wont
Just make sure you use ddg/startpage and not google
google might do this at another time
They already fluff results
@Beemann its baked into the web browser. there is no way to stop that
What is baked into the web browser?
look above
The article refers to specific apps "To make that easier for Web users, Mozilla will look at ways to bring anti-misinformation functionality to existing offerings like Pocket (app that lets you maintain a list of articles to read later), Firefox Focus (a mobile private browsing app) and The Coral Project (which provides tools designed to “raise public trust in journalism” and make it more relevant)."
If you were using Firefox on mobile you already played yourself and your poor molten phone
i dont even use firefox on mobile
nor do i use pocket
i have what is called fennic
its exclusive to the f-droid app store
Sweden cars: 80 set on fire by gangs in several cities
I've been getting good mileage out of the f-droid store tbh
I don't care that the product itself is unaffected. The company is tainted
well thats to be said about anyone
nobody can retain a perfect record for very long
just because i haven't seen articles (that i'm sure exist) of google banning alt-right email addresses doesn't mean i trust gmail.
i think its pretty easy to keep a "not pro-censorship" record.
you can say they try to be impartial but when they talk about fighting "fake-news" then say "we are teaming up with the msm", that basically says "we are here to suppress the alt-media"
Google verifiably modifies your search engine results
But it's worth remembering that both use forks of open source browser projects
So if you don't like the "commercial" ver. there are other forks
So this whole Omarosa thing...
Why does it seem like nobody's talking about the fact that Omarosa broke DC laws?
The narrative is above the law apparently
The recordings she made in DC would've been Illegal.
