Over a fucking gif

2018-08-17 16:56:18 UTC

They just used regular earth moving equipment to get the RV out because apparently it was stolen.

2018-08-17 16:56:23 UTC

That the dude *reposted*

2018-08-17 16:56:29 UTC

Yup

2018-08-17 16:56:46 UTC

Didn’t it turn out to be a guy in Mexico that made it?

2018-08-17 16:56:52 UTC

The RV was stolen? Interesting

2018-08-17 16:57:06 UTC

Yup. The RV was stolen.

2018-08-17 16:57:14 UTC

That’s a crazy story too.

2018-08-17 16:57:15 UTC

Also perhaps they wanted the RV out and taken elsewhere when they heard the people got released

2018-08-17 16:57:19 UTC

Wild times

2018-08-17 16:57:40 UTC

While they search it for clues before returning it to he owners

2018-08-17 16:58:11 UTC

Or maybe a certain judge is related to this

2018-08-17 16:58:16 UTC

I have heard of them rebuilding cites in secure locations for reconstructions.

2018-08-17 16:58:24 UTC

If I were that judge I'd have a public hearing on releasing the names, invite media reps and get them to cover it. Then I'd be like "NO SOUP FOR YOU" and insult them for even trying.

2018-08-17 16:58:48 UTC

Normally that is after a bomb goes off in a public area (Car Bombings)

2018-08-17 17:01:16 UTC

you know, i could understand wants to know the names of jurors after a trail, particularly one which is highly controversial. Because it is possible that someone the same juror is ending up in a bunch of related cases. but not during.

2018-08-17 17:01:34 UTC

and not publicly

2018-08-17 17:02:01 UTC

what happened to investigative journalism, where you had to go out and ride the edge of the law to find whistleblowers and the like

2018-08-17 17:02:23 UTC

oh man if I were a juror at a controversial trial i sure as hell wouldn't want my name to be public record.

2018-08-17 17:02:26 UTC

Died when clickbait made more $$ for the most part

2018-08-17 17:02:27 UTC

like the trayvon case

2018-08-17 17:02:35 UTC

would you want your name attached to that?

2018-08-17 17:02:41 UTC

you'd be legitimately in danger

2018-08-17 17:03:09 UTC

Reuters still does good shit though, to the extent that they get in trouble for their reporting

2018-08-17 17:04:41 UTC

CNN shows up at an old ladies house to intimidate her over supposed Russian made memes she shared in a Facebook group she runs. They put out her name, showed her house, and her face. This is why the fake news media is the enemy of the people. This isn’t journalism, it’s thuggery.

If Manafort walks and it becomes public record that you voted for him to walk, you're almost certain to be targeted for harassment. Possibly even violence.

2018-08-17 17:05:11 UTC

^^^^^

2018-08-17 17:05:53 UTC

In crimial trials it is by secret vote, so if one person votes not guilty, then "Everyone" voted not guilty

2018-08-17 17:06:33 UTC

The judge in this case knows the deal. He knows that Manafort is probably going to walk, or at best get off with time served and a small fine. And the judge has been shitting all over the prosecution since day one because he knows this is a political farce. I think this hearing could be the judge letting people embarrass themselves further.

2018-08-17 17:09:57 UTC

reported cnn for mobbing.

2018-08-17 17:10:13 UTC

Could be. He doesn’t seem to have a tolerance for bullshit

2018-08-17 17:10:17 UTC

There's no way the judge is actually going to unseal anything, but he'll let the media make ridiculous partisan arguments and further degrade their credibility before shutting them down.

2018-08-17 17:10:45 UTC

All in a public hearing.

2018-08-17 17:10:54 UTC

Good. Nobody should be bothering these people regardless of the outcome of the trail.

"Google staff tell bosses China censorship is 'moral and ethical' crisis"

"Google executives misled staff in meeting on China censorship. Here are 13 questions they must answer."
https://theintercept.com/2018/08/17/internal-meeting-reveals-how-google-bosses-misled-staff-on-their-china-censorship-plan-here-are-the-questions-they-must-answer/

Google's executive clearly don't mind censorship.
Today China. Tomorrow... censorship for the rest of us? Oh eh,...

2018-08-17 17:14:53 UTC

at least there is some hope for the brainwashed staff

2018-08-17 17:15:09 UTC

So it seems.

"Google censorship plan is 'not right' and 'stupid,' says former Google head of free expression"
https://theintercept.com/2018/08/10/google-censorship-plan-is-not-right-and-stupid-says-former-google-head-of-free-expression/

They had a head of free expression... until 2014.

2018-08-17 17:18:51 UTC

What a job title “head of free expression” is

2018-08-17 17:19:57 UTC

And what do you bet in 2014 they replaced the head of free expression with a head of diversity

2018-08-17 17:21:35 UTC

Yes, but clearly they need someone with that title.
Well, it seems that Google executives themselves are already pushing diversity themselves.
