All the people I know are very anti-Trump. I tend to be neutral with them with measured responses. Trump supporters are actual quietly voting, we saw that last election. But the left is super energized now. The Kavanaugh bump is peaking for the right too quickly - it fades. They should have kept the investigation going just to a couple days before the election.

I don't think so. Like you said, I think it'll fade too fast. IMHO I think the Dems were trying to stall for time so they could use this as a tool during the midterms to make the "blue wave" happen.

What will probably happen is a pretty massive red wave.

Despite all of my issues with the Republicans, I do think they are (on average) more compatent and align with my values than the Dems.
