Nancy Pelosi's filibuster-style speech tops six hours in bid to force immigration votes

2018-02-07 22:19:16 UTC

WOW SIX WHOLE HOURS

2018-02-07 22:20:36 UTC

Pelosi, 77, peppered her speech with anecdotes about people protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and mentioned the biblical tale of the Good Samaritan.

2018-02-07 22:20:45 UTC

I have a tale about a snake

Can i get some false news report from a big mainstream media source?

my compatriots?

2018-02-08 19:16:38 UTC

y tho?

2018-02-08 23:30:26 UTC

@Timcast Tim

Regarding your latest video (and the previous one on the same topic)
https://youtu.be/CIT93W4_6kY

Good point on the fact that the sources were mainly right wing, ergo more right wing consumption/sharing... BUT you're also missing the CONTEXT of the people sharing the posts. If people are sharing fake news for the purpose of calling it out, thats completely different to someone sharing it because they believe the news.

In short, the data in the report isnt nuanced enough to give us a clear picture of what's going on at all..

2018-02-08 23:42:07 UTC

But we can slap headlines on it

2018-02-08 23:42:10 UTC

and share on fb

2018-02-08 23:42:21 UTC

and get the slick clicks

2018-02-09 00:17:31 UTC

Also I doubt it cites the bigger mainstream news sources that clearly put out "junk news" also. So that snuffs out a lot of the left wing fodder. Also there's probably a lot more fragmented right wing sights to push around than the left wing ones.

2018-02-09 00:18:04 UTC

I like how this supposed study on fake news just makes more fuel for fake news

2018-02-09 01:17:04 UTC

I don't believe any article anymore except for X said Y or A happened at B type stuff. Without "allegedly" qualifiers of course

2018-02-09 01:19:42 UTC

You can't even trust that a or b event happened these days

Hyper partisan conservative news is NOT fake news

2018-02-11 14:15:46 UTC

Apparently the NBC commentator for the opening ceremony claimed that the reasons that all but 5 of the 110 medals we Dutchies have earned so far are in speed skating is because, paraphrased: We're all at sea level, have a lot of canals, so when those canals freeze, we skate to work

2018-02-11 15:17:08 UTC

As a dutchman, i'm offended, i now demand reparations for every generation my bloodline produces

2018-02-11 17:05:47 UTC

I agree

2018-02-11 22:28:56 UTC

@AC says sub to PewDiePie It kinda is. If it's hyper-partisan, its bias. It's not a neutral outlook. Misrepresentation (or presenting only one side) is fake news. "News" should give a full, well rounded, unbias reporting of a topic or issue,

2018-02-11 22:29:27 UTC

Thing is, we cant expect something to be 100% unbiased.
