their website mentions their copyright policy (i.e. that copyright will not and cannot be enforced), but the same goes for illegal material. these people risk prosecution under FOSTA

2018-05-11 01:28:17 UTC

like tor this network will be heavily used by pedophiles

2018-05-11 01:40:55 UTC

And? The unfortunatete reality is that you either accept their ability to post things, and go after them in person. Or you force them into hiding so you pretend they don't exist.

2018-05-11 01:41:40 UTC

Your inability to see them doesn't make them go away, and it may not even limit their ability to get victims

2018-05-11 02:14:55 UTC

hmmm if i understand the tech correctly, if that is the case one may unknowingly store encrypted, replicated CP on their computer

2018-05-11 02:15:24 UTC

but is it really subject to FOTSA given it's just software and not a service?

2018-05-11 03:13:42 UTC

like i can write a todo list on kidnap and rape with word, and MS aren't liable for that

2018-05-11 03:41:00 UTC

By my understanding of FOSTA, it's actually left ambiguous as to whether or not Microsoft would be liable, especially since they no longer sell permanent licenses to consumers, but rather Software As A Service (eg., Office 365 is actually a software service, not a software product). I may be wrong, though.

2018-05-11 03:44:09 UTC

And since OneDrive is a web hosting service, it's likely that if you save the file to your OneDrive folder instead of to your local hard drive, they are unambiguously liable.

2018-05-12 08:08:58 UTC

Moonbat14, Microsoft just announced an overhaul to Skype, Office and all that stuff that they own your documents and if you are using their service for nefarious means they have the right to terminate your account. You can call it coincidence that this happened in lock step with FOSTA if you want.

Dolphins are the Ultimate Ukrainian nationalists

2018-05-17 23:17:02 UTC

http://archive.is/Wx6CE buzzfeed hitpiece on internet bloodsports and superchats

2018-05-17 23:19:10 UTC

Of course they would have a hit piece on Superchat.

2018-05-17 23:19:27 UTC

They've gone after advertisers already..

2018-05-17 23:20:09 UTC

They only get to make a dent on Super Chats if Youtube lets them. We'll see how it plays.

2018-05-21 15:39:36 UTC

How is that fake news?

2018-05-21 15:39:57 UTC

Seems like settled science to me.

2018-05-21 15:49:45 UTC

@RyeNorth mostly because its old. And included anyone who called themselves a journalist. so most of tumblr

2018-05-22 21:45:44 UTC

“ The FBI informant who monitored the Trump campaign, Stefan Halper, oversaw a CIA spying operation in the 1980 presidential election “ by Glenn Greenwald on The Intercept

The lie that this was just an FBI “ informant” embedded to protect the Trump campaign has been destroyed. This was a professional CIA political spy.

You would think that Germany would have learned from their recent history. https://voiceofeurope.com/2018/05/germany-will-now-train-asylum-seekers-to-become-truck-drivers/

2018-05-23 05:16:10 UTC

@zutt lol

2018-05-23 06:44:44 UTC

@Deleted User Can you find me better citation for that? I found the article on Dangerous.com as well, but it only links back to Voice of Europe with no citation.

2018-05-23 06:45:18 UTC

The closest it comes is what Voice of Europe refers to as an 'Austrian Tabloid'

2018-05-23 06:46:17 UTC

I saw that on a meme site. And even the people there say it only has one news site as a source

2018-05-23 06:46:44 UTC

I was going to make a joke about the German government assuming that the trucks of peace only didn't know how to drive the equipment, and were exclaiming Allahu Ackbar in surprise at hitting people, but without actual citation, the gallows humor joke is a joke on a joke.

2018-05-23 06:48:14 UTC

You'd think if there was a program that they're trying to get them in to, there'd be more evidence about it.

2018-05-23 06:49:08 UTC

Leaflets, and the like. Citizen journalism. Not tabloids from a neighboring country.

2018-05-23 07:24:05 UTC

Why do you think I put it in <#399204742846349312>?

2018-05-23 07:39:56 UTC

Asking if it was real cause it looked too much like something from the onion. Poes law and all.

2018-05-23 10:45:02 UTC

What? Asylum seekers and trucks? What could ***possibly*** go wrong?
>Nice, France

Oh

2018-05-23 11:35:13 UTC

It‘s technically true, you know... Theo best Kind of true...

2018-05-23 11:39:24 UTC

Merkel Said that they talked about giving loans to Asylum seekers from syria that have a syrian drivers license and want to convert that into a german one.

2018-05-23 11:42:25 UTC

And are these asylum seekers approved of their asylum?

2018-05-23 11:42:31 UTC

Or are they still in the process?

2018-05-23 11:44:00 UTC

It's a good idea, but you can't just put everyone who wants to drive a truck on such a list.

2018-05-23 11:48:08 UTC

Since it is only something they talked about as a possibility behind closed doors i can not tell you that.

2018-05-23 11:49:04 UTC

That's understandable

2018-05-23 11:49:09 UTC

But generally as an asylum seeker you need a work permit
