lol. I somehow learned to drive without getting any accidents or speeding tickets while hating driving.

Fell half asleep on accident once while driving and still made it to destination (again, half asleep) without issue.

Then I moved into the Mountains where there wasn't traffic, started taking driving seriously.

My car's now all sort of banged up.

2018-07-23 03:22:32 UTC

lol here we have traffic police

2018-07-23 03:22:50 UTC

They are at every intersection in shifts

2018-07-23 03:23:38 UTC

They literally pull people out of their vehicles and beat the shit out of them if you don't obey the signals

2018-07-23 03:24:00 UTC

LAPD does that...more than they should

2018-07-23 03:24:28 UTC

America seems to have a huge police brutality issue

2018-07-23 03:24:35 UTC

atleast here most of the cops don't have guns

2018-07-23 03:59:14 UTC

America *seems* to have a police brutality issue because the press only covers the occasional rare case of it, and never the vast majority of police work, which is helping people and generally peaceful

2018-07-23 04:07:13 UTC

I've never really had issues with police myself.

2018-07-23 04:07:20 UTC

Most are pretty nice if you talk to them.

2018-07-23 04:07:25 UTC

**Most**

2018-07-23 04:08:17 UTC

Police Brutality tends to get a lot of press though

2018-07-23 04:08:34 UTC

Powers back, yay

2018-07-23 04:10:07 UTC

Well, ever since Ferguson, MO the press has concentrated more on issues of police brutality

2018-07-23 04:10:19 UTC

Race tensions haven't helped either

2018-07-23 04:11:27 UTC

And to be fair, it *is* a problem that we have as much as we do

2018-07-23 04:11:43 UTC

Even if it's as small as it is, it's a problem we really shouldn't have

2018-07-23 04:12:04 UTC

Unfortunately, you can't just fix problems like this overnight

2018-07-23 04:12:20 UTC

though it would be nice

2018-07-23 04:12:51 UTC

Anyways, I'm off to sleep for the night

2018-07-23 04:58:15 UTC

I've been thinking about communism, and how communists say real communism hasn't ever been tried

2018-07-23 04:58:35 UTC

Because all previous communist regimes were under an authoritarian state

2018-07-23 04:59:19 UTC

But what I'm confused about, is how exactly can communism be achieved without a authoritarian state in the first place

2018-07-23 04:59:45 UTC

You still have to seize the means of production from those who have to

2018-07-23 04:59:51 UTC

Take back private property

2018-07-23 04:59:57 UTC

They assume people will willing give it up

2018-07-23 05:00:02 UTC

And not everyone is going to give it up

2018-07-23 05:00:07 UTC

Lol ditto

2018-07-23 05:00:08 UTC

They project

2018-07-23 05:00:18 UTC

Ah yes I have thought about this too

2018-07-23 05:00:21 UTC

They think they wont be the ones doing it

2018-07-23 05:00:34 UTC

Theres a self described socalist in another server who has provided some insight

2018-07-23 05:00:36 UTC

They think the "RIch" will be the ones getting it taken away

2018-07-23 05:00:39 UTC

Both helpful and distrubing

2018-07-23 05:00:39 UTC

revan later

2018-07-23 05:00:57 UTC

Look how they think increasing taxes on companies would punish the CEOs when it punishes the workers who lose their jobs

2018-07-23 05:01:07 UTC

Maybe it isn't true that real communism has never been tried

2018-07-23 05:01:26 UTC

Maybe it's just that communism can only exists in the forms of Maoism and stalinism

2018-07-23 05:01:28 UTC

no it been tried

2018-07-23 05:01:31 UTC

it shit

2018-07-23 05:01:31 UTC

I mean, they use europe as "true communism"
