what is the left? what is the right? last time I asked that question it was framed by the word 'progressive', which is equally meaningless on its own ;P
*doesnt have an issue with a Monarch as head of state as long as elected parliament rules*
having a 2nd alternative authority in event of elected govt. failing and being unable to govern is not a bad thing
sounds like you dont understand that there are multiple forms of Monarchy and only accept a single and outdated (by about 400 years) concept of direct rule (whether framed in the terms divine or outright naked force)
The issue I see with an elected head of state, or appointed, is that any issue that causes an elected govt to fail would also be a factor on the authority of the head of state .. I.E. the head of state would be a partisan position and authority. With a constitutional monarchy where parliament is the highest authority where it stays within the constitution you avoid that.
the wh..oh, right.. the ones who ruled for a few months before Lenin and Stalin got rid of them ? ;P
there is that problem with democracy, @AdorableStormtrooper
but that is largely one driven by poorly informed electorate.
our pension system is mixed, you get a public pension but most people rely on a private scheme , either one they have setup or one the company the work for has setup.
Legitimate ruler = leader of the party elected to form a govt in the UK. Period. ๐
um, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, and a few other countries, not just "england" (england being a country that hasnt been an independant political entity since the early 1600s)
expenses incurred whilst on public duty, or staying in publically owned residences
probably not, if the family abdicated or the UK became a republic I dont see the govt doing anything other than taking most of their properties, well.... those properties deemed part of the institution of govt. and public land anyway
anyway, more concerned about our upper house , than the monarchy
@AHeroQuest I dont think we see the ME as asia
I think people are now taught that ME is part of asia, it wasnt when I was in school .. and I was born in the ME ;P but I think most people see the ME as a seperate region (however inaccurate that view is from a geological POV) from Asia. Also to us Asia generally means India and Pakistan. Not sure we really see Chinese / Japanese / Koreans / Thai, etc as Asian
admittedly, was born in Tel Aviv to parents who are 3rd gen londoners from eastern europe (yes, yes .. we're Jews, ashkenazi)
I imagine once a floor plus the weight of the floors above it starts moving down the momentum will overcome what ever remaining strength there is in the building
that doesnt even rhyme, @Swedishmafia101 ;P
the structure is designed to hold the weight yes, not the momentum of that weight as it comes down
especially not after weakened by fire and impact shock
resulting in failure of the structure around those floors, so total weight of the floors that collapse plus the weight of the floors above cause increased momentum and shock energy , if the structure has already been weakened by fire I really fail to see why this is considered dubious by a minority
767 (standard) weighs MTOW of 142,882KG vs B-25's weight of 9k kg's
so, somewhat a significant disparity in weight and thus energy between a 767 hitting a building and a Mitchel B-25
that doesnt take into account amount of fuel carried between the two, type of fuel, and speed of the two aircraft at time of impact
you're claiming that because a different building survived the impact of a 9,200 kg plane another building built to different regs , is absolutely going to survive the impact of a 140k kg plane
*shrugs* try coming up with a better argument, and stop throwing a tantrum when people dont automatically believe your current one.
MTOW of a B-25 H was 15,910 kg , still a huge difference between the two, cant find data on how much fuel they carried.
standard 767 carries 16,700 US gallons (64,217 litres)
somehow doubt that a B-25 would have had the same amount of fuel as well
klingons, no doubt, if you dont believe it was the klingons you're clearly either a fool or an agent for them .. ;P
@Dennafen oh you mean cultural and ethnic tribes? ashkenazy, british, atheist, lib dem (albeit on the center right), geek

<-- is btw, kidding and does not think that anyone regardless of gender should be a slave.
@AHeroQuest yeah but isnt mondernity about trying tobe more inclusive as to who our people are?
usually ar-15 nuts, who refuse to accept the greatness of the L1A1 SLR and L85A2
*pulls a de-acted AKS-74 off the wall and uses the mag well because he cant find a more convenient bottle opener*
A2's been out now for over a decade, they're moving on the A3 now

no, he initiated violence, he identifying as a she wouldnt change that

and once they find him guilty (I'm not liable to be in the jury so I'm ok to say that) they can throw the book at him
