San Antonio Texas

Yay it’s alive

Yes it’s alive 😍

Whats up bro

Hello and welcom my brothers and sisters from Canada from all the way down south in Texas

welcome*

So I saw the cheap $25 radio and got mixed reviews. What's the least you can spend for a radio what's worth a fuck.

I have 2 recon medical kit's lots of good reviews also got their chest seals. Anyone else use them?

I have their TQ, gauze, pressure bandage, sheers and seals.

Two kits was $45

I will have to eventually

It's hard to afford everything but you are right

Thanks ill look into both of the other brands

I know you are %100 right but my logic was one TQ or two kit's for the wife and I

So around $100 is the minimum starting price.

But they are worth while right?

Ok cool I wanted a good one for emergency use and there is no signal where I hunt and my buddy and I both wanted one. Thank you so much.

Hmmm I have some reading to do

Yes let’s keep making the memes that got us in trouble and kicked off FB. The media is gonna use this as fuel to the fire.

I agree but its gonns suck when we get kicked off here too

I thought they were about to open Texas

Thoughts on this model? Keep in mind I have to buy two.

BaoFeng GT-3TP Mark-III Tri-Power 8/4/1W Two-Way Radio Transceiver with 7.4V 3800mAh Battery, Dual Band 136-174/400-520 MHz True High Power, Upgraded Chip, High Gain Antenna, Car Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014J5RJ7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x0fQEbXHTT6PR

You need the cable too right to program it?

The UV 82 is more expensive then the one I posted. I like that one because it was dust and drop resistant. The UV 82 is not much more but what makes it better? If it just has a better antenna I see pretty good ones on Amazon for $10-$20

The GT-3TP it is with the data cable its $63 now to work on getting my license

What are these frequencies any links?

Thanks man we can talk on them without issue from the law?

I read this and it answered alot of questions

The GT3TP is dust, drop and water resistant. The antenna it comes with is stronger than the na77116

just get the data cable and you are set

I thought TOR was pretty solid as long as you don’t log into stuff or have it full screen. Apparently that’s how they got DPR

But the vpn owner can track you

From my understanding I’m no expert

I found this to be pretty helpful

Honda truck month gang

Honda master race

Honda don’t need head gaskets every 50k

Stick to ham has the longest range if you change your mind you can always convert your radio to work on any band. It’s illegal but who’s gonna know

You can also convert even the cheapest ham to that rather easily

Nah unless I’m battling squirrel or rabbit lolz

Wrong offset? We’re you on the same channel or the right frequency for your environment?

Probably best not too

There’s some pretty highly rated ones on Amazon for cheap. Acoustic tube is what it’s called

@redbeard why are baofengs bad I’m still a newb working towards my license and have a GT3TP.

I programmed mine with a variety of things repeaters FRS MURS and simplex

NOAA too

I guess so as long as you’re talking to people you know you can always talk in code

Do you need your general license for that right

Well small team use aside the hobby interested me in general. I got a 8watt HT figured it was a good place to start

Best advice study for the license you’ll learn a lot of good shit along the way

So when it comes to medical classes I’m CPR/AED cert and was gonna take the stop the bleed class then rona happened. What are some good medic classes. Gonna have to take BLS for hospital workers because I’m starting clinical soon(RN)

Look for “Ham Radio Crash Course” on YT lots of good advice

Also our little radios can reach out a little farther with a bigger antenna he reviews a 42 1/2 inch and antenna on there that’s pretty cheap

In an emergency I’m sure you give your left nut for a little bit of extra distance if it’s what you need

I eventually wanna get one in the car but idk how to wire it

Mines drop dust and water resistant

Only $52 comes with 3800mah battery 2x chargers head set clip and retention strap

Oh and a really antenna out the box

EMT takes a while. I was originally going to go and get my associates degree to be a paramedic but then realized nursing is the same amount of work to earn and pay almost double. I’ll see if I can find that being taught in my area.

After my BSN I wanna get my trauma nurse cert

@[LA] Zoomer Medi/k/ what does Tccc test for? I noticed the updated their list last year. Do they get a bunch of random ones or do they need to be submitted for testing like with DOJ armor.

Do they have a list of failures?

SA here

@Nose TC yeah man I’m about changing not trying to die and have the person who kills me and my family show as heroes

I was saving for a PSA CHF 16 or 20in barrel rifle are they bad I thought milspec and FN barrel were good

I mean what’s better for about $650? If there’s a QC issue you can send it back to be fixed right? Just run it really hard and find the issues.
