GDP is the amount of economic activity. While you might think GDP is good because at least it demonstrates a capacity for the economy to do things it can be extremely misleading if you are looking for actual progress. In China they boost their GDP by building entire cities that no one lives in called "ghost cities". In this production they waste their resources while providing zero actual value to the citizens. Since the US is more market focused this isn't as big of a problem. However subsidied industries and industries that provide products and services to the government could scew the figures.
Another problem is that you need to adjust the figures for inflation and there are MANY indexes for inflation. Many that will contradict each other by a large amount.
Impressive considering I hardly ever go there due to the sheer amount of scat being posted there...
It's a figure that "kinda" works but loses its function as government policy affects the economy since the economy isn't neccesarily producing value but just state mandated activity that could be good, bad or neutral.

I've applied for many jobs where the recruiting firm gave me an online personality test and if I was a fit they gave me an IQ test.

Being racist when recruiting isn't very scientific though. If I want programmers and a group of people come in then they aren't going to be representative of their demographic.

Something tells me shit is about to get real. OR in the next election you are going to see even more people vote early and guard the handling of the ballots like a hawk.
You pick out the ballots you want from a stand that everyone can see. You pick three ballots. National, regional and local. On each ballot there is a list of people where you can check one box for an individual that you really want seated if the party doesn't get enough votes to seat all people. If you don't have a ballot for the party you are voting for there are blank ballots where you can write down the name of the party you want.
You put each ballot into a letter that has a hole in it so you can see which type of vote you are making. Three closed letters with holes with three different colors. Those are placed in a bigger envelope. You bring those to a table where you verify your identity and then they check you off a list and place your envelope in a box with a hole in it.
Sweden has gotten international critique because of how easy it is to see who you are going to vote for.
What's generally being claimed here is that ballots were not on the stand meaning that you had to write on a blank ballot where you need to remember who you want to individually support. If you don't choose a person then anyone in the party could get the seat. Then the claim is that ballots for one party got counted as another or where wrongly claimed as being invalid. Like mispelling the party name enough so that the counter "cannot tell" which party it's meant for...
We had a record amount of "invalid" ballots this year. However that could be due to people being pissed at the politicians and writing shit like "Donald Duck" on the ballot.
We also had "family voting" where immigrant families or communities would be handed ballots by their family/klan-leader and then be observed by that leader while they walk behind the screen and place their ballots in the letter.
In Rinkeby (Immigrant heavy area) 77% voted for the social democrats.

Voting card is a piece of paper with a code on it and an adress where you can vote. You are supposed to bring that paper together with your ID to vote.
Voting cards are not an id and doesn't function like one.
It has a code on it that is supposed to get checked by the election worker so they know the owner of that code has voted.
In the final big envelope you can see the code through the envelope.
