What alternative would you suggest?
Beats me. The point is to find or create one and use it instead of anything based in SV.
I think people need to bring out the heavy guns and contact some of the bigger Youtubers on this. Mark Dice, Paul Joseph Watson, Steven Crowder, No Bullshit, Razorfist, The Quartering, etc
Just maybe they could team up to launch a crowdfunding alternative to Patreon.
Let's see what comes of it. There seems to be a fight over which faction/perspective/ideology will carry Patreon going forward right now. To quote Napoleon, "Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself". It may end up that the perspective you do not like will end up on the losing end of this and it could spread.

Exactly. I'm often not in agreement with Styx's message and certainly not his outrage, but this was a case where he was quite rational and civil. Likely has something to do with his livelihood being involved but I also do think he believes there is a serious chance his positive persuasion and that of others may make a difference here. I hope people follow his example and don't get hyperbolic before there's a reason to be.
Styx's approach is all wrong. Pleading with Patreon for permission to use Patreon just puts Patreon in an even more powerful position.
Leaving that in the comments would be ideal
It may also mean Styx has to take a 9-5 job as he said.

Under normal circumstances, it would. In France, a proud country of which the majority dislikes their leader, things may be a bit different.
Time will tell
The French have a long and storied history of being very hands on when dealing with disliked leaders.

When I visited France back in 2017, it was clear that tensions were high. In both Paris and Lille I regularly came across groups of 3 soldiers patrolling the streets at all times of the day. I can't imagine what's going on now.
Paris riots on a weekly basis. Someone is always on strike. I doubt this really goes anywhere.
Speaking of which, with Antifa and the like, that's the American and British future.
