The reason Camouflage is so common is because it makes it harder for the enemy to spot ya. They'll know which direction the shooting is coming from. So if your harder to spot. It negates that problem a bit. Totally silent guns would be so effective in combat that a Marine could go into battle dressed as a clown and still be competent in achieving the mission objective.

I think on statistics of the Galaxy odds of Intelligent life existing somewhere is too high to be a impossibility. In that sense yeah I do believe Aliens exist. But in the same breath I don't believe any real evidence exists to proof they visited Earth or even sent unmanned craft to Earth.
