Kinda. It was the government implied in the poem. But social media giants also work.
THEY'RE NOT THE NAZIS
Ehhhhhhhhh
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I want to argue that point but I am approaching the point where it's becoming almost indefensible
It's not that the tech companies don't have taxes to pay it's that they use loopholes to not have ro pay them
Make them pay what they are required by law to pay
By the final intent of the law
Close the loopholes
Be done with it
No, these states and cities literally give tax breaks in exchange for moving to their city.
@Ruggwain the problem is you would need to completly redo the tax code for example Ford has an engine plant near me the point of that plant is to loose as much money as humanly possible on paper while manufacturing the engines that they need to distribute. This is why people wonder why youtube is still around when it looses so much money it is offsetting something else to reduce the tax burden of the company.
Ffs America
If your tax system is so fucked
And the loopholes so deeply rooted
That you'd need to overhaul your entire tax code to do it
That's only more reason to do it
Yeah, people say that all the time
I wonder why <:makes_you_think:382980749780844554>
It won't ever be done
The people in charge of writing the tax code benefit too much from it
N i c e
And the people in charge there are barely accountable
That's what's called 'The Deep State', people in charge, who weren't elected, and stay in their position for decades
Gotta say, the implosion of the UK is honestly really funny to watch from here in the US
At long last, the American Revolution will be completed
Are you proud of us, Founding Fathers? We are completing your work!
Idk I am not a fan of losing our biggest and oldest ally
>oldest ally
That'd be France
Morocco
is our oldest ally
The UK wasn't our ally until 1942
WWI?
We were associated powers, not allies, in WWI
Relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States date back to the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). Morocco remains one of America's oldest and closest allies in North Africa, a status affirmed by Morocco's zero-tolerance policy towards Al-Qaeda and their affiliated groups.
@RMS_Gigantic and admist their chaos, that's when we swoop in and **RAKE THE LEAVES**
Basically co-belligerents, and in the 1920's we made our opposition to being called allies to the British VERY clear to them
my bad one of our*
@Deleted User WAR PLAN RED BOIS
Take Australia and New Zealand too
We need more bases in the pacific
what about the weebs?
Even if you call them one of our oldest allies, I find it disingenuous given 1) that we allied them 142 years after our last alliance, 2) the British had been working against us for some 150 years until that point, and 3) the USA in general tends to prefer not to have any allies at all
So calling the British one of our oldest allies is actually moreso a reason to dump them than to keep them
but you're forced to say "one of" because it's a gap more than half the time for which the US has even existed since our previous alliance
Hell, even AS an ally they STILL found ways to work against us
we gotta dump tea into the thames

I personally believe that the root of this particular, institutional strand of Britain's political problems originate with the fact that the UK is a monarchy with no written constitution
God damn the queen
It's time for an Anglo-American Empire.
Annex the Commonwealth!
The UK will be the 51st state
its plausable since they are about as far as HI is
No, just a freely associated territory, like Micronesia
eh I would be willing to allow more like Puerto Rico
At least they wont be as much a burden
nah
the UK is too full of leftists and islamists
This is true....
We can't have them coming in all willy nilly
that's why when we invade there has to be "accidents"
and a *suspcious* lack of international observers <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>
*We ARE the observers!*
Eh just enforcing our constitution there would defang a lot of the leftists.
It's obviously not enough here
Hell, most of them think that amendments in the Bill of Rights can be repealed
But they dont realize they really cant. Most of the left here are just toothless crazies.
in the uk they hide behind actual laws like hate speech
rekt
What if people start getting pinned for watching or sharing Alex Jones' videos? I mean, are other people going to be stopped from posting his videos to youtube?

totally didn't see that coming. /s
You linked a facebook post?
Besides Alex Jones was known for fear mongering, lying, slander and pretty much scamming people into buying his worthless products
He was adding nothing to the political debate, and the little he did add was mostly lies
"HERP HE WASN'T SOMEONE **I** LIKED, SO I DON'T CARE!!"
Say the partisan hack
Fucking retard
I understand your worries about limiting free speech
But in the end it was a move by private companies not the state
The probelm is the precedent it sets
Trusting big companies to be the arbiers of truth?
I would not think so
I'm getting tired of the 'muh private corps' argument.
What if all the airlines colluded to ban you from air travel?
There are ships
Depends on the reason. If I regulatly lie about them, cause trouble on flights and am just a bad customer... then its reasonable
Its their business
