It's not that the tech companies don't have taxes to pay it's that they use loopholes to not have ro pay them

2018-08-07 23:36:46 UTC

Make them pay what they are required by law to pay

2018-08-07 23:36:55 UTC

By the final intent of the law

2018-08-07 23:36:58 UTC

Close the loopholes

2018-08-07 23:37:00 UTC

Be done with it

2018-08-07 23:37:33 UTC

No, these states and cities literally give tax breaks in exchange for moving to their city.

2018-08-07 23:52:04 UTC

@Ruggwain the problem is you would need to completly redo the tax code for example Ford has an engine plant near me the point of that plant is to loose as much money as humanly possible on paper while manufacturing the engines that they need to distribute. This is why people wonder why youtube is still around when it looses so much money it is offsetting something else to reduce the tax burden of the company.

Ffs America

2018-08-07 23:54:13 UTC

If your tax system is so fucked

2018-08-07 23:54:20 UTC

And the loopholes so deeply rooted

2018-08-07 23:54:30 UTC

That you'd need to overhaul your entire tax code to do it

2018-08-07 23:54:50 UTC

That's only more reason to do it

2018-08-07 23:55:08 UTC

Yeah, people say that all the time

2018-08-07 23:55:33 UTC

I wonder why <:makes_you_think:382980749780844554>

2018-08-07 23:55:49 UTC

It won't ever be done

2018-08-07 23:56:04 UTC

The people in charge of writing the tax code benefit too much from it

2018-08-07 23:56:44 UTC

N i c e

2018-08-07 23:57:14 UTC

And the people in charge there are barely accountable

2018-08-07 23:58:09 UTC

That's what's called 'The Deep State', people in charge, who weren't elected, and stay in their position for decades

2018-08-08 01:28:22 UTC

Gotta say, the implosion of the UK is honestly really funny to watch from here in the US

2018-08-08 01:28:35 UTC

At long last, the American Revolution will be completed

2018-08-08 01:28:51 UTC

Are you proud of us, Founding Fathers? We are completing your work!

2018-08-08 01:29:17 UTC

Idk I am not a fan of losing our biggest and oldest ally

2018-08-08 01:29:23 UTC

>oldest ally

2018-08-08 01:29:25 UTC

That'd be France

2018-08-08 01:29:26 UTC

Morocco

2018-08-08 01:29:33 UTC

is our oldest ally

2018-08-08 01:29:34 UTC

The UK wasn't our ally until 1942

2018-08-08 01:29:42 UTC

WWI?

2018-08-08 01:29:49 UTC

We were associated powers, not allies, in WWI

2018-08-08 01:29:58 UTC

Relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States date back to the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). Morocco remains one of America's oldest and closest allies in North Africa, a status affirmed by Morocco's zero-tolerance policy towards Al-Qaeda and their affiliated groups.

2018-08-08 01:30:08 UTC

@RMS_Gigantic and admist their chaos, that's when we swoop in and **RAKE THE LEAVES**

2018-08-08 01:30:10 UTC

Basically co-belligerents, and in the 1920's we made our opposition to being called allies to the British VERY clear to them

2018-08-08 01:30:14 UTC

my bad one of our*

2018-08-08 01:30:24 UTC

@Deleted User WAR PLAN RED BOIS

2018-08-08 01:30:42 UTC

Take Australia and New Zealand too

2018-08-08 01:30:53 UTC

We need more bases in the pacific

2018-08-08 01:31:03 UTC

what about the weebs?

2018-08-08 01:31:13 UTC

Even if you call them one of our oldest allies, I find it disingenuous given 1) that we allied them 142 years after our last alliance, 2) the British had been working against us for some 150 years until that point, and 3) the USA in general tends to prefer not to have any allies at all

2018-08-08 01:31:53 UTC

So calling the British one of our oldest allies is actually moreso a reason to dump them than to keep them

2018-08-08 01:32:26 UTC

but you're forced to say "one of" because it's a gap more than half the time for which the US has even existed since our previous alliance
