Just because black culture or gender are social constructs, doesn't mean that they don't have real societal impacts. Like, the stereotypes surrounding black people, or the very real violence that black people experience at the hands of police in poor black communities. There's a lot that could be understood about the cultural forces at play that put people into those situations, and situations that are specific to poor black people as opposed to poor white people.โ

I think one of the reasons that universities are so largely demonized isn't just because some of the students on universities are against freedom of speech, I think that it's because universities generally offer knowledge that is straight up contrary to popular prejudices.
