Talk about china, taiwan is great lol
yes I want to live in Yilan
Why do chinks sleep in public so much? Like all through school the chink kids in my class would sleep if they weren't busy and there's a guy next to me right now who was working on a project but then he put it away and now he's asleep. Right in the middle of the hallway. Do they sleep in public during the day because they stay up all night studying?
fug
@Big Meme I've been to the house of a chink classmate that did the same once. Judging by how it looked and smelled I can imagine that sleeping in school was a better idea for him. Apparently he only played league of legends and ate noodles in bed anyway.
https://clips.twitch.tv/CourteousPolishedEelPunchTrees what the fuck is china
what happened here
some guy just attacked the streamer just because he was talking in english
and wanted to literally fight lmao
Chinese new year soon lads
get ready for the flood of chinkd
lol damn it's really that bad? *I'm new around here*
*Maybe I shoulda held off on that order I placed yesterday*
im actually chinese and i speak perfect english
people get mad at me on the subway
"why do you try to cosplay white people"
and most of its is just because of jealousy. jealous that they didn't put in the effort to learn but I did
chinese new years
>git gud deals on chink shit
>have to wait an extra 2 weeks plus regular shipping time so chinks can have their "deserved" break
"its a poor excuse for picking a mans pocket every [Lunar New Years]
-Ebenezer Scrooge (asian version)
hahaha so true
my family tries to celebrate by going to nice restaurants during this time, but they're all closed
sucks shit
yeah usually ill see iof i can go down into the city and find a nice chiunese place but usally theyre all booked. otherwise ill just cook chink food at home
the mcdonalds here make a lot of money during cny because theyre the only store open
if you live in china, dont travel during chinese new years - treat it like a hurricane
buy all your food the week before and just bunker down
traveling is horrible during CNY
and @van โแตแตสณแถฆแถ แถฆแตแต and youre right, people say the same shit to my wife. they think shes a traitor for learning english at all
and that learning english isnt necessary and that it's a waste of time
"I can make 5000rmb per month and I don't speak any english!"
less than $800
that's literally what I make
so dog poo
also can't wait to go to Beijing on cny
gonna be so fucking good that I might kms
<:thenk:329322130804047872>
is this why i can barely find english speaking people in chinatown
this probably got posted here before but whatever
>clean daddy's timbs
>american product
Yes quite a few times
>hold up
@kaetaa is it that bad? 2 years ago I spent CNY in Taiwan and the big cities were just slightly flooded with people because everyone was on holiday so they had time to do shopping. All stores had normal opening hours except for small ones
Small towns you could compare it to our Christmas, at least my gf's town. A lot of families meeting etc
The problem is that the entire country travels the days CNY starts and ends
So those 2 days are complete chaos
Flights, trains, buses, all full
Like a billion people or more traveling to their hometowns
And most things close down
So it's just really boring
So bunker down, or get our of the country the days before CNY
But don't go to nearby countries. They are flooded with Chinese tourists too
Especially Hong Kong Jesus Christ
@plasticsword damn dude you make 5000 a month? That's rough
Go teach English can make double that
5000 what currency?
RMB
Per month, after tax
So like $800
USD
Just bought my flight bros. Going to spend Chinese New year here and then go back to USA for 2 months
With my fiancee and her mom (but the mom will leave after 2 weeks)
What kind of lifestyle does this salary allow you in China?
5000 RMB
its like an internship
its like an internship
5000 RMB
Significantly better than most Chinese
im an assistant engineer doing firmware dev
For an internship that's great. Never seen an intern getting that much in Italy
been here for a year
You can live pretty cheap if you live like a local, but if you want any kind of Western amenities , it's tough
Nice, firmware development is amazing
need to find something new though
Why? Contract ending?
no I just don't like it here
can't speak to anyone
I'll admit the best part about teaching English in China is the time off. I know we are wage cucks in America, but when I taught English I got 3 weeks paid time off a year, plus China has like 3 weeks of holidays , and then I was allowed a break for 3 weeks to visit home
Try to get into xiaomi, they rejected me only for lack of written Chinese
everyone assume I know chink so its a lot of hassle with intetaction
Honestly in America it's common just to get ten days paid time off and then holidays. But the holidays fall on random days so it's impossible to travel
Here, they structure it so the weekend coincides with holidays usually, so you can at least get 3-4 day weekends
I like my current gig the best because I work from home on my PC and I make my own hours, so I pretty much can do whatever I want. Work plus travel together
I want to stay in firmware/software
pretty hard since I don't have an computer science/ele eng degree
Do you want to stay in china? You would probably enjoy Shanghai and can probably get a job
Oh, yeah that'll be tough then
China don't hire much of those people as far as I'm aware
Yeah not much
@plasticsword what degree do you have?
medical engineering
but my project was pretty electrical/software heavy
800$..
Can you do much with that in China?
Depends on the city
My old City wuhan had 11mil population and people considered $800 a month a good job for a man in his late 20s
Like, that's considered middle class apparently
I know a guy that basically stays at a hotel for 1k rmb a month
