yeah usually ill see iof i can go down into the city and find a nice chiunese place but usally theyre all booked. otherwise ill just cook chink food at home
the mcdonalds here make a lot of money during cny because theyre the only store open
if you live in china, dont travel during chinese new years - treat it like a hurricane
buy all your food the week before and just bunker down
traveling is horrible during CNY
and @van ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ and youre right, people say the same shit to my wife. they think shes a traitor for learning english at all
and that learning english isnt necessary and that it's a waste of time
"I can make 5000rmb per month and I don't speak any english!"
less than $800
that's literally what I make
so dog poo
also can't wait to go to Beijing on cny
gonna be so fucking good that I might kms
<:thenk:329322130804047872>
is this why i can barely find english speaking people in chinatown
this probably got posted here before but whatever
>clean daddy's timbs
>american product
Yes quite a few times
@kaetaa is it that bad? 2 years ago I spent CNY in Taiwan and the big cities were just slightly flooded with people because everyone was on holiday so they had time to do shopping. All stores had normal opening hours except for small ones
Small towns you could compare it to our Christmas, at least my gf's town. A lot of families meeting etc
The problem is that the entire country travels the days CNY starts and ends
So those 2 days are complete chaos
Flights, trains, buses, all full
Like a billion people or more traveling to their hometowns
And most things close down
So it's just really boring
So bunker down, or get our of the country the days before CNY
But don't go to nearby countries. They are flooded with Chinese tourists too
Especially Hong Kong Jesus Christ
@plasticsword damn dude you make 5000 a month? That's rough
Go teach English can make double that
5000 what currency?
RMB
Per month, after tax
So like $800
USD
Just bought my flight bros. Going to spend Chinese New year here and then go back to USA for 2 months
With my fiancee and her mom (but the mom will leave after 2 weeks)
