if you live in china, dont travel during chinese new years - treat it like a hurricane

2018-02-02 05:07:29 UTC

buy all your food the week before and just bunker down

2018-02-02 05:07:42 UTC

traveling is horrible during CNY

2018-02-02 05:18:42 UTC

and @van ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ and youre right, people say the same shit to my wife. they think shes a traitor for learning english at all

2018-02-02 05:19:01 UTC

and that learning english isnt necessary and that it's a waste of time

2018-02-02 05:19:12 UTC

"I can make 5000rmb per month and I don't speak any english!"

2018-02-02 05:19:30 UTC

less than $800

2018-02-02 05:22:39 UTC

that's literally what I make

2018-02-02 05:22:43 UTC

so dog poo

2018-02-02 05:23:04 UTC

also can't wait to go to Beijing on cny

2018-02-02 05:23:22 UTC

gonna be so fucking good that I might kms

2018-02-02 05:26:38 UTC

<:thenk:329322130804047872>

2018-02-02 05:26:57 UTC

2018-02-02 07:23:38 UTC

2018-02-02 07:43:42 UTC

2018-02-02 07:43:43 UTC

>hold up

2018-02-02 07:46:01 UTC

@kaetaa is it that bad? 2 years ago I spent CNY in Taiwan and the big cities were just slightly flooded with people because everyone was on holiday so they had time to do shopping. All stores had normal opening hours except for small ones

2018-02-02 07:47:13 UTC

Small towns you could compare it to our Christmas, at least my gf's town. A lot of families meeting etc

2018-02-02 08:10:13 UTC

The problem is that the entire country travels the days CNY starts and ends

2018-02-02 08:10:19 UTC

So those 2 days are complete chaos

2018-02-02 08:10:30 UTC

Flights, trains, buses, all full

2018-02-02 08:10:41 UTC

Like a billion people or more traveling to their hometowns

2018-02-02 08:10:53 UTC

And most things close down

2018-02-02 08:11:02 UTC

So it's just really boring

2018-02-02 08:11:15 UTC

So bunker down, or get our of the country the days before CNY

2018-02-02 08:11:33 UTC

But don't go to nearby countries. They are flooded with Chinese tourists too

2018-02-02 08:11:39 UTC

Especially Hong Kong Jesus Christ

2018-02-02 08:13:11 UTC

@plasticsword damn dude you make 5000 a month? That's rough

2018-02-02 08:13:18 UTC

Go teach English can make double that

2018-02-02 08:19:05 UTC

5000 what currency?

2018-02-02 08:20:43 UTC

RMB

2018-02-02 08:20:48 UTC

Per month, after tax

2018-02-02 08:21:00 UTC

So like $800

2018-02-02 08:21:02 UTC

USD

2018-02-02 08:21:40 UTC

Just bought my flight bros. Going to spend Chinese New year here and then go back to USA for 2 months

2018-02-02 08:21:57 UTC

With my fiancee and her mom (but the mom will leave after 2 weeks)

2018-02-02 08:21:58 UTC

What kind of lifestyle does this salary allow you in China?

2018-02-02 08:22:08 UTC

5000 RMB
