Yuru Camps is heartwarming.

2019-08-22 22:59:04 UTC

You can't deny.

2019-08-22 22:59:08 UTC

well now im glad that you are at least sane. RE:ZERO EPISODE 15 will be perfect for you

2019-08-22 22:59:38 UTC

I'll watch that when I watch the entire series.

2019-08-22 23:00:32 UTC

Trust me, its a big doozy

2019-08-22 23:00:40 UTC

and i fukin loved it

2019-08-22 23:01:26 UTC

I love lots of things. I've filled with love and comfy feelings.

2019-08-22 23:02:07 UTC

(Which is exactly why I take solace in seeing Mudslime executed and brain matter splattered. Because Mudslime is antithetical to love and cuddle.)

2019-08-22 23:02:36 UTC

(Mudslime need eradication. In the name of love, compassion and all things fluffy, comfy and cuddly.)

2019-08-22 23:02:57 UTC

You mean compassion to the GEY

2019-08-22 23:03:40 UTC

with which, only wholesome geyness is acceptable

2019-08-22 23:03:46 UTC

Compassion in general. I would say "fuck gay" but that would be gay.

2019-08-22 23:04:49 UTC

Compassion is not something our enemies will give to us. So for it to be allowed to run free, they must not be

2019-08-22 23:05:16 UTC

For them to "not be" we need "remove kebab".

2019-08-22 23:05:34 UTC

Which is why bsckol.mp4 is so heartwarming.

I cannot condone the killing of people *of any kind*. A better, and rather bigger solution is to make them fuck off back to there Sand nigga utopia and let'em run wild. Its what theyve been doing for the past millenia anyhow

2019-08-22 23:09:44 UTC

I've suggested that as a solution to Israel - Palestive for over decade already. I'm just tired of all the cries of Israel being horrible, when they have been rather avoiding atrocities. On the other hand they've been creating settlements while denying they're doing it.

2019-08-22 23:10:03 UTC

So fuck that, nuclear war now. Israel vs. rest of Middle-East is preferable.

2019-08-22 23:10:08 UTC

I don't care who wins.

2019-08-22 23:10:28 UTC

Let them eat eachother

2019-08-22 23:10:54 UTC

I just don't want any side to take a moral stance against Israel. Just let them do war properly, no sleazy (Jewy) settlement shit. Just nukes. Only nukes.

2019-08-22 23:11:39 UTC

nukes seem rather boring tho.

2019-08-22 23:11:47 UTC

This is priceless

They can be good dogs if they're trained.

2019-08-23 00:21:35 UTC

Great dogs. Once you've owned a pittie it's hard to even get interested in normal breeds.

2019-08-23 00:21:59 UTC

How many times has a doge breed killed someone?

2019-08-23 00:22:44 UTC

kinda wonder the specific stats nationally

2019-08-23 00:23:14 UTC

Malamutes/Mastiffs are often guard dogs in more rural regions

2019-08-23 00:25:25 UTC

I really like Labs.

2019-08-23 00:25:27 UTC

They're kinda high maintenance but well worth it. Their energy levels and muscle density mean you have to spend a lot of time exercising them or they simply are not happy. The stats are likely from "reported" attacks. Half the news stories it turns out that another bull breed was actually the culprit. But yes if an animal that powerful bites down on something it's going to do a lot of damage.

BRO YOU JUST POSTED CRINGE

2019-08-23 00:33:51 UTC

They were originally bred for dogfighting which became popular when bull baiting was made illegal. Yeah your little bulldog was bred to fight 1 ton herbivores. So they are really strong for their size, high energy, low pain threshold. That makes them hard to train because they pretty much ignore most punishment. I used head dominance. Pin their head to the ground when they misbehave and not let them up until they submit. Which can take over an hour until they learn the you are not going to give up until they submit.,......

2019-08-23 00:35:06 UTC

They really really hate submitting.

2019-08-23 00:57:46 UTC

But so am I *le gasp!*

2019-08-23 01:00:05 UTC

I've heard one major reason for the frequency of lethal attacks among pitbulls is due to the fact that they were bred to show fewer early indications than normal of violent intentions, to better take other dogs off guard in fights. This has the unintended consequence that it can be difficult to anticipate when you need to deescalate their excitement/frustration and reign them in.

2019-08-23 01:00:47 UTC

Basically, more so than many other dog breeds, their aggression level can escalate quickly, and with little warning.

2019-08-23 01:01:35 UTC

Meaning, even if you have a very sweet natured, and well trained pit, you might not realize exactly how worked up they are, until they have their teeth around something's throat.

2019-08-23 01:11:09 UTC

@Miniature Menace

Not so much. In dog talk a bark is a warning and a growl is angry intent. If a Pit decides it wants to fight it does it pretty much the same way as any other dog. They roll their shoulders up and growl.

2019-08-23 01:11:30 UTC

Also, I'm hyped, it's being made by the Netflix Castlevania crew

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/613769167199535104/614265424552525868/1050689-mour-poster-1280.jpg

2019-08-23 01:11:34 UTC

It is true that they are much less likely to bark....

2019-08-23 01:15:55 UTC

Is that he man?

2019-08-23 01:16:17 UTC

I haven't investigated this personally. But I get the feeling you haven't really gone over specific data either. All I know is the disparity in ratio of attacks is pretty stark. The other main contenders tend to be breeds which are extremely common or often used as guard dogs or for law enforcement.

2019-08-23 01:16:35 UTC

Just shoot any dog that attacks. Ez

2019-08-23 01:17:24 UTC

And there seem to be a lot of "pit mommies" whose dogs just go berserk, and maybe there's some other reason beyond temperament and nature. But it seems like until that is known, it's probably a good idea to not get this breed of dog.

2019-08-23 01:17:51 UTC

Lots of testimony of people who just didn't know what the hell happened, and that the dog never behaved this way before for the years they've owned it, and then it just sort of snaps.

2019-08-23 01:19:30 UTC

@HurtChain that is He-Man

2019-08-23 01:19:43 UTC

Hopefully itโ€™s good

2019-08-23 01:19:50 UTC

Wokeflix has me concerned

2019-08-23 01:20:01 UTC

@HurtChain you see Netflix Castlevania?

2019-08-23 01:20:04 UTC

It's entirely possible a good portion of the disparity could be explained just by the kinds of people who tend to get pits. People who themselves lack discipline, or are too lazy to properly train them, or get them explicitly because they think it makes them look tougher, and then behave in a way that gets the dogs worked up.

2019-08-23 01:20:08 UTC

Nope

2019-08-23 01:20:12 UTC

Watch it

2019-08-23 01:20:30 UTC

Iโ€™ve literally only seen Star Trek on Netflix

2019-08-23 01:20:41 UTC

Netflix Castlevania is alright. Not great, but alright. There were some parts that still irritated me,.

2019-08-23 01:21:09 UTC

When the next season comes out, I'll probably still watch it. Which is something I can say for very few shows.

2019-08-23 01:21:59 UTC

The way the church is depicted in Castlevania is so hilariously stupid and over the top, tbh. Probably one of the points I got closer to just switching it off.

2019-08-23 01:22:33 UTC

It's a Church in a world where Demons and Dracula actually exist

2019-08-23 01:22:34 UTC

But then, that might just be something from the game as source material

2019-08-23 01:22:45 UTC

It's allowed to be over the top

2019-08-23 01:22:45 UTC

that IS source material

2019-08-23 01:22:54 UTC

Indeed

2019-08-23 01:23:03 UTC

the Church did kinda kick out the best fucking vampire hunter

2019-08-23 01:23:18 UTC

And cause Dracula to attack

2019-08-23 01:23:21 UTC

^

2019-08-23 01:23:38 UTC

I've never really played Castlevania, so it was jarring. It's like, they took the worst, most bigoted, ignorant, corrupt caricature of the catholic church from fiction, and just dialed it up to 11.

2019-08-23 01:23:51 UTC

welcome to Castlevania

2019-08-23 01:24:20 UTC

That is how the church game is, it is a Japanese persons view of crusader era Catholicism

2019-08-23 01:24:35 UTC

a Westaboo's view

2019-08-23 01:24:43 UTC

It's so Stupid Evil, you're left wondering how they ever actually managed to deal with any legitimate threats ever, as they seem more concerned with declaring anyone who is actually capable or competent as some kind of heretic

2019-08-23 01:25:12 UTC

why do you think Trevor doesn't give a shit in the beginning

2019-08-23 01:25:26 UTC

They're a church that let the Belmonts handle everything and when the threats were gone they kicked them out

2019-08-23 01:25:32 UTC

Nah, the main character's motivations were pretty spot on.

2019-08-23 01:25:35 UTC

That was fine.

2019-08-23 01:26:02 UTC

But just, the whole rest of humanity, and particularly the church, it's like, "oh, you can actually do something that might save us? fuck you!"

2019-08-23 01:26:17 UTC

welcome to Castlevania

2019-08-23 01:26:31 UTC

You've never met an evangelical catholic have you?

2019-08-23 01:26:37 UTC

^

2019-08-23 01:26:49 UTC

other japanese media has had a more credible depiction of a catholicism type church as antagonists, though

2019-08-23 01:27:03 UTC

like in, what was it called.... Blue Exorcist

2019-08-23 01:27:11 UTC

That made much more sense.

2019-08-23 01:27:18 UTC

Blue exorcist isn't credible

2019-08-23 01:27:24 UTC

It's modern

2019-08-23 01:27:31 UTC

Japanese media is always leagues ahead of everything else

2019-08-23 01:27:43 UTC

this is medieval evangelical Catholics

2019-08-23 01:28:03 UTC

Wallachia is a 13th century nation

2019-08-23 01:28:09 UTC

It's credible from the point of view of having a religious order that knows demonic threats exists, has the general obedience and loyalty of the masses, but can still be used as an antagonistic force.

2019-08-23 01:28:09 UTC

ooga booga is a accurate description

2019-08-23 01:28:27 UTC

Blue Exorcist is still a modern lens

2019-08-23 01:28:42 UTC

@Miniature Menace do you think 13th century peasants are rational people?

2019-08-23 01:29:14 UTC

I think most healthy people are rational, they just have finite data, and often very stupid priorities.

2019-08-23 01:29:24 UTC

Also, they're lazy

2019-08-23 01:29:36 UTC

Then you know nothing of the Medieval era

2019-08-23 01:29:47 UTC

^

2019-08-23 01:29:49 UTC

So not putting too much effort into things they deem neither enjoyable or essential to survival, tends to be one of those priorities

2019-08-23 01:30:16 UTC

the medieval period is defined by ooga booga

2019-08-23 01:30:28 UTC

I doubt the average person (in any time period) would go "hey, there's a place with dog-headed people"

2019-08-23 01:30:37 UTC

Medeival folk weren't like, some kind of tards. They were superstitious, sure, but it often took a lot of circumstantial evidence to really get them worked up enough to use it as a justification to kill people.

2019-08-23 01:30:53 UTC

you say that

2019-08-23 01:30:54 UTC

Wallachia is 13th century Theocratic Romania

2019-08-23 01:31:02 UTC

And even then, these periods where that happened were usually the exception, rather than the rule.

2019-08-23 01:31:58 UTC

@Miniature Menace medieval peasants had no education aside from the church, they worked to live and not dying was a bonus, they had no need to be rational

2019-08-23 01:32:14 UTC

Everyone needs to be rational to a point.

2019-08-23 01:32:25 UTC

not really

2019-08-23 01:32:31 UTC

look at leftists

2019-08-23 01:32:33 UTC

Your modern views don't negate human nature

2019-08-23 01:32:34 UTC

Even the choice to obey the church so you don't get labelled a heretic and excommunicated is an act of reason

2019-08-23 01:33:03 UTC

No, that's an act of survival

2019-08-23 01:33:14 UTC

Even leftists behave rationally based on their perception of reality, and their priorities.

2019-08-23 01:33:16 UTC

People do irrational things to survive

2019-08-23 01:33:33 UTC

@Miniature Menace

Some of the disparity is from people who get Pits because they want a tough strong dog. This shows up in the meme of the 100 lb Pittbull (breed standard is a maximum weight of 80 for males and 60 for females. No 100 lb dog is a Pitt by definition). This is further exacerbated by the lugenpress who know 'Pit Bull" sells more ad space so virtually any bull or terrier breed involved in an incident gets reported as a "Pit Bull Attack!"

2019-08-23 01:34:10 UTC

Irrationality is doing something deliberately under the assumption that it will take you *further* from your chief desirable outcomes.

2019-08-23 01:34:19 UTC

Did they ever state the date the show is set in? Because a lot of the technologies seem a bit later than that

2019-08-23 01:34:47 UTC

Like, i would estimate late 14th/early 15th century from havibg watched it

2019-08-23 01:34:47 UTC

But sure people who buy Pitts but do not bother to learn how to raise one properly are a large part of the problem.

2019-08-23 01:34:49 UTC

@Miniature Menace that isn't the definition of irrational

2019-08-23 01:34:53 UTC

I never played the games, though

2019-08-23 01:35:27 UTC

I'm operating on the assumption that the Castlevania series occurs in an alternate history where the church actually behaves in a stupid evil fashion. And that's how I've basically compartmentalized it.

2019-08-23 01:36:10 UTC

One of the dumbest yet most entertaining animeโ€™s ive ever seen was the GATE anime.

2019-08-23 01:36:23 UTC

GATE was pretty good.

2019-08-23 01:36:38 UTC

I just loved it for the dumb action

2019-08-23 01:37:08 UTC

@Gservator Then it's not *your* definition of irrational. And that's fine. Are you going to argue that people generally make conscious and deliberate choices to take them further from their chief objectives?

2019-08-23 01:37:09 UTC

Also not actually that dumb. Did a good job of avoiding being contrived.

2019-08-23 01:37:10 UTC

@Nevis it's set in Wallachia, the year is 1476

2019-08-23 01:37:22 UTC

I liked that blood bath.

2019-08-23 01:37:24 UTC

@Miniature Menace no, it's not THE definition

2019-08-23 01:38:00 UTC

>For Whom The Bell Tolls, instead of the in-show meme of Ride of the Valkyries
Not sure how I feel about this.

2019-08-23 01:38:01 UTC

Also, this was _long_ before the church had any of the reformations that has calmed it down today. This was presumably before the Protestant-Catholic wars, in a territory right on the edge of Islamic invasion, in the grip of several competing monotheistic religions (Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Islam, whatever remnants of paganism remained)

2019-08-23 01:38:17 UTC

I just grabbed the top search result.

2019-08-23 01:38:25 UTC

Itโ€™s been a couple years since I watched it

2019-08-23 01:38:37 UTC

@Gservator I literally don't care. Because that's not really what I'm arguing about. My criticism is related to *my* definition. Address how my argument is actually invalid using the way I have described my criticism.

2019-08-23 01:38:41 UTC

Yeah, this was right on the cusp of the collapse of the Byzantine Empire and Islamic threat, then

2019-08-23 01:38:42 UTC

@Nevis so for a modern view it's post crusade era Romania

2019-08-23 01:38:59 UTC

Regardless, really sad that Bookwalker doesn't have it

2019-08-23 01:39:11 UTC

@Miniature Menace you don't understand english if you think you can have your own definitions

2019-08-23 01:39:27 UTC

Religious zealotry against due to hostile foreignersbwould have made religious tensions very high

2019-08-23 01:39:28 UTC

Whether or not the definition you use for "reason" corresponds to the way I use it has no bearing on whether what I'm describing is how people generally behave.

2019-08-23 01:39:28 UTC

I've got some /ak/ translations at least, but those aren't as convenient.

2019-08-23 01:40:13 UTC

And the Catholic Church was certainly corrupt

2019-08-23 01:40:24 UTC

While the scale might be overblown

2019-08-23 01:40:26 UTC

@HurtChain thats a pretty good anime

2019-08-23 01:40:33 UTC

Not just that @Nevis but the church is justified due to demons and vampires actually existing

2019-08-23 01:41:03 UTC

I have practically 0 knowledge of anime, so Iโ€™m glad other people appreciate it as well.

2019-08-23 01:41:16 UTC

I personally chalked that partly up to an insane rogue element of tbe church rather than the _entirety_ of Catholic clergy being that degree

2019-08-23 01:41:19 UTC

That's what I'm here for lol

2019-08-23 01:41:30 UTC

Pretty much all Iโ€™ve seen for anime is gate, parasite, attack on titan, and death note

2019-08-23 01:41:36 UTC

affirming good taste and mocking bad taste

2019-08-23 01:41:42 UTC

Death Note is great.

2019-08-23 01:41:48 UTC

Manga of Attack is better

2019-08-23 01:41:50 UTC

Haven't seen the others.

2019-08-23 01:41:55 UTC

only the first half of death note

2019-08-23 01:41:56 UTC

AoT's biggest problem is pacing

2019-08-23 01:41:59 UTC

@Nevis you don't think vampires and demons actually existing would kick zealotry up to an 11?

2019-08-23 01:42:03 UTC

Yeah, the second half is weaker.

2019-08-23 01:42:04 UTC

I fucking loved parasite

2019-08-23 01:42:04 UTC

we don't speak of the trashy second half of death note

2019-08-23 01:42:07 UTC

And you mean parasyte: the maxim?

2019-08-23 01:42:10 UTC

The gore is just so good

2019-08-23 01:42:15 UTC

Yes

2019-08-23 01:42:16 UTC

Yeah, it certainly would

2019-08-23 01:42:18 UTC

That one

2019-08-23 01:42:23 UTC

parasyte is great

2019-08-23 01:42:27 UTC

Plus 1476 is like
What

2019-08-23 01:42:28 UTC

I just love slashers

2019-08-23 01:42:37 UTC

>gore
god damn making me wish Elfen Lied's anime didn't end up kinda shitty.

2019-08-23 01:42:57 UTC

I watched narcos just to see children getting shot

2019-08-23 01:43:00 UTC

deadman wonderland is also decentish i guess kinda falls short to the manga

2019-08-23 01:43:04 UTC

20, 30 years after the collapse of the Byzantines?

2019-08-23 01:43:04 UTC

Berserk

2019-08-23 01:43:05 UTC

also GANTZ

2019-08-23 01:43:06 UTC

_**Go read Berserk**_

2019-08-23 01:43:23 UTC

Zealotry would probably increase, but you also have to account for the Loyalty Matrix.

2019-08-23 01:43:23 UTC

GANTZ= sex, blood, and gore.

2019-08-23 01:43:25 UTC

also aliens

2019-08-23 01:43:36 UTC

Btw @Nevis 1476 was when Vlad the Impaler died

2019-08-23 01:43:54 UTC

Was it? I do not know all that much about Vlad

2019-08-23 01:43:56 UTC

20, 30 years after the collapse of the Byzantines?

2019-08-23 01:44:01 UTC

That is a cool detail

2019-08-23 01:44:07 UTC

Dracula is based off of Vlad

2019-08-23 01:44:17 UTC

I know that much

2019-08-23 01:44:30 UTC

I think less people *don't* know that.

2019-08-23 01:44:44 UTC

King of Wallachia, impaled people on spikes, had beef with the Ottoman Turks

2019-08-23 01:44:50 UTC

Also just how jarring it is to see how stupid the church was, when even a fairly cursory investigation into the history of the church in the real world reveals they were actually fairly accommodating of scientific and medical pursuits. Often even the chief facilitators of them.

2019-08-23 01:44:53 UTC

did they finish Castlevania series?

2019-08-23 01:44:55 UTC

Though my favorite classic vampire is Carmilla =P

2019-08-23 01:44:58 UTC

@Nevis and made blood wine
