So fucking looking forward to seeing Glass also!! ^.^ @Darkseid
Just finished watching 2 For the Money with Matthew Mmcconaughey and Al Pacino...what a pair
And yes...def Glass
Don't know how actual African's feel about this film, but I love it. โค https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450259/?ref_=nv_sr_1
@ZombieQueen interresting sequence of movies
Good or bad? Lol
lots of kubrik ๐
room 237 heheheh
I'm quite fond of Stanley Kubrick.
I think I'll steer clear of room 237 though, doc. ๐
hehehe. you may get a ride on apollo 11 and end up in oceania
This was pretty interesting, we watched it last night. ^.^ Would recommend. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6499752/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Infinitely creepy film I watched years ago on Syfy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Cpv_qZD-o4&ab_channel=KarlLaundy O.O @Darkseid
We just watched this it's pretty decent. If you're into horror, I would give it a try. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1072748/
@ZombieQueen Interstellar...good shit
Tis sad though, but indeed very good.
GG @ZombieQueen, you just advanced to level 20!
@ZombieQueen I mean its not that sad...I just wondering did he ever make it to the chick he ejected๐
I know right? What a cliffhanger.. it'd be cool if they made another just to clarify. I thought it was pretty feelsy especially when he left his family for the first time..ow..my heart..
@ZombieQueen Can't believe there are people who think it's a bad movie...and people complaining about the score...wtf
People complain about the score?? Seriously?? I thought that was one of the most amazing things about the movie..the score was really nice in my opinion and was effective in provoking an emotional response...
@ZombieQueen literally...critics claim it's too dreary...WAT?
This film is so good! ๐
I just watched it a few days ago I thought it was great!! @spursfan82
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120789/?ref_=nv_sr_2 โค One of my favorites.
@ZombieQueen Where do you get the time to watch all this
My childhood until now? Lol
@ZombieQueen You watched pulp fiction as a child....
Yes..
I was a very mature child..Lol
So my mom didn't filter that much for me 'cause I wasn't a childish dumbass like most. Lol @Darkseid
Well, after 7 years of age anyway..
Lol
@ZombieQueen Damn...I'm still a childish dumbass๐
I was always told that I was "wise beyond my years." So, I was mostly treated as such.
Including more responsibility...inevitable being a child of a single parent.
@ZombieQueen Yeah I'm joking, I have 2 older brothers so I could watch them do things and if the screw up I just do something else...still my parents didn't let me watch pulp fiction๐ They do how ever trust me way more, funny thing is my friends parents do to...there was a time when my best friend was only allowed to go out if I was going with
I used to date a dude from New Jersey and his mom didn't let any of her 4 children watch anything that wasn't rated PG-13 and under..lol @Darkseid
And he was 21 at the time..lol
@ZombieQueen My parents stopped police what I watched when I hit my teens๐ That sounds a bit mental...21 ๐ฌ
It was fucking mental!! She was a little too religious and didn't trust her children at all even though they were REALLY decent and proper individuals.. @Darkseid
@ZombieQueen My parents are very religious this goes beyond that...Although I suppose american too religious is kinda different...We see the West Boro baptist church๐
Yeah, not everyone that is extremely religious=Westboro... More like Carrie's mother in Carrie.. ๐ Fucking nutters nevertheless. ๐ @Darkseid
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371257/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_22 Good artsy type of movie. I love the analysis of an artists mind. *Some* at least. @Arcade_Hustle
@ZombieQueen How amazing was Toni Colette in Hereditary ??
Convincing and Heart Wrenching performance. @spursfan82
@Punisher put a ring on
@Punisher when ring
@WuldGoGayForLauren are you south African or American?
bidda both
Just watched it..not terrible..and I liked the callbacks to the original movie. ๐ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4881806/?ref_=nv_sr_1
@ZombieQueen How was jurassic world?
It was pretty decent..probably my favorite of the newer ones because of the call backs it gave to the original...made me smile.. @Darkseid
@ZombieQueen Yeah I've just been avoiding it..might get around to it some time this weekend I suppose
@ZombieQueen โ โ
I'd watch it..I adore Martin Freeman. @spursfan82

Same
Brad Pitt is one of my fav actors, and I would have to agree that his acting is pretty great in most of the films in which he's performed. @midwest
I disagree really... A good actor is someone you don't refer to by their real name, but by their character they portray. If you can refer to any characters and not say that's brad pit, then they successfully deceived you to think they are someone else, that's a good actor.
Lol, good point.
unless the actor has done so many good roles that naming every character takes too long so you just give their personal name๐ @Sheamus
@Apollo if you were here in person to supervise you and make sure you don't Google it, I'd ask you to name all these many good characters that Brad portrayed. Lol no point to do that though.
i was not even talking about brad pitt at all
Lol well the actor of topic was Brad Pit, that's okay. In the case of your example, Gilbert grape, Edward scissor hands, captain Jack sparrow, willy wonka are characters by Johnny Depp, i still refer to him primarily though as Edward scissor hands, though I've been fooled a few times lol. Same when it comes to Rambo, or Rocky, same when it comes to Terminator or Conan lol, I've been successfully deceived by a few actors to think more of them as the characters they portrayed than their real life identities, in spite of knowing their true identities.
My disagreement was with Brad Pit though, i can't think of any character he ever portrayed that stood out to me, hence my disagreement. There's a couple of movies he acted in that enjoyed, but i certainly don't think he managed to deceive me, i enjoyed the movies for other reasons, like the directing, musical score or story and other archs.
I just simply refer to people as they are and by their job description as actors or actresses..as performers. Interesting way to look at things though. @Sheamus . Achilles, Tristan, Benjamin Button, Tyler Durden, Lt. Aldo Raine, hmm... Wardaddy. You mentioned my all time favorite actor also โค Johnny Depp.
@ZombieQueen well you've been deceived by Brad, i personally haven't lol, Tyler there i think rings a bell, was that fight club?
And yeah Johnny Depp is good with the characters he is generally given, there are other roles he totally sucked as though, not very memorable characters, but i suspect Tim Burton specifically tailors characters around JD lol
Yeah, man that was Fight Club ๐ I can't believe I forgot to add *Jesse James* to my favorite roles of Brad's..Shame on me. ๐ Tim Burton โค Yeah, i'm sure he tailors those roles specifically for Johnny and Burton's woman Helena Bonham Carter. ^.^ @Sheamus
watched Sicario last night. Very good movie
Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt? Oof
hehe yeah those two might be a bit off-putting but they actually work in this movie. the cinematography alone makes this a worth while watch.
92% on Rottentomatoes
I meant Oof as in..hell yes. I like Benicio Del Toro anyway and Emily Blunt is purdy.
aaah lol ok.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171363/?ref_=nv_sr_2 Old one, but it's a good one. I'm gonna start watching the new Hill House series on Netflix soon, so I wanted to watch the movie again before so. ^.^
@Nidalap Rorrim I funnily enough liked Sicario 2 a lot more.
I would highly recommend 'The apostle'
The Apostle looks good @Nidalap Rorrim
A GTA V movie anyone?
https://youtu.be/_vhwRYhWAzk
Saw that trailer yesterday.. The dude and I were like...yep.. Definitely gotta see that one.. Simba looks so adorable.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0144117/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Probably in my top 10 fav movies of all time.
Ooh ja Boondock Saints is also in my top 10
Along with Equilibrium and Aliens :p
That gun kata cene in Equilibrium was epic
Children of men is also a good one.
When our power comes on ill link a good documentary about the cinematography of Children of men. Very interesting
Do eet
Damn can't find the one i'm thinking off. Might have been a special feature on the blu-ray. This one talks a bit about the one shot and use of natural light a bit. I'll keep looking for the longer better quality one and share it when I find it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmRqS9dTHQc
Classic Christmas Films..sort of Tradition to watch the Christmas films we grew up with throughout the month of December lol https://youtu.be/BVAc0FJdYoA
The debate with Kaaplander reminded me of this documentary I watched some years ago when he mentioned "White Flight" I think is how he put it, but the documentary isn't terrible, give it a watch if any of you are interested.. https://youtu.be/M4osW-YcFaw
The next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to begin soon .
https://youtu.be/o2AsIXSh2xo I actually like the concept of this film. 7.5\8 out of 10. Give it a try and watch it..it's on Netflix.
it was pretty average
actually maybe slightly above average
there's a hot take for you
OMFG people reach SO much....Lol....I'm currently at the part where he's talking about people feeling that the film demonizes the mentally ill....and the biracial shit? The last thing that I was paying attention to when I was watching the film lmfao. I was more engrossed in the creepy fact that you couldn't see the entity and that it\or whatever you saw compelled you to commit suicide and that there was precious little that you could do to help the affected <
[Spoilers:]John Malkovich's character was certainly hard to love in that film, but all through the film I couldn't really hate or deny\ignore his logic..he wasn't a complete asshole for no reason, the part where I allied with his character the most was when Olympia, the obese pregnant woman let the affected dude in...and Maga dude was like...nah this feels wrong, this dude seems weird..his circumstances are questionable, etc...and then the rest of the house were like let the dude stay....and then locked Maga in the garage...and I thought to myself..BUT WHAT IF HE'S RIGHT?!?! And then... yeah.. >.< So much cluster fuck lol
lol. I'm surprised they didn't make the most unlikable character wear a maga hat
