Looking at the political situation here, I realize one thing: how lucky I am to be Ukrainian. How lucky I am to be born in a country that is so young. We had so much stuff to do politically, different opinions were let in. Mostly right wing, but still different. Children of that place had to either be ignorant of politics, or be able to see through the bullshit since we didn't have time to set up a propaganda TV network.

And Ukraine is rough if you want to be successful. My lyceum had very high standards, and was ruthless when it comes to grading. It is not like this in normal schools obv. Those make either workers(95%) or get some gold nuggets that are hardworking and pull through. But all schools have one thing in common:they allow students to correct teachers, and promote logic.

Here the education system is way too weak. A sophomore(me) shouldn't be stronger then most seniors. And the feelings. They always try to please every single student. Schools back in Ukraine(good ones) were focused on pumping out functional individuals that are balanced. We studied every subject at the same time. That was tough, and they didn't care that you were hurt, you just gotta grow some tougher skin and some brain cells

And people here are not taught. They are lectured. They are just told some stuff they have to remember in a quiz later. And most people are lazy(know from experience). They won't think unless you force them. I remember being angry about being unable to do some hard proofs for adv. level trig and geometry, but that forced me to think, and I loved it. They didn't give us a way to prove. They made us do it. Here they just give you a proof and tell you to remember it to "prove" it later. This creates sheep that believe the shit fed by the mainstream media without a single fucking filter.
