CoD 1 is actually pretty great

After Majora's mask

Overrated doesn't mean bad. But plenty of people say that it IS the best game of all time and have done so for a long time

i liked CoD2 better than the first

COD1 to modern warfare are masterpieces

After that it's a steep dive

And I never said you were nostalgic I just mean that now people are getting nostalgic over WW and even TP

My favourite was World at war and Cod 1

Nah I'm being completely objective about Oot

It's one of the best games I've ever played

i think oot is massively influincing on gamedesign after its creation and thus its rating is justified. i think to look at games like that kind of like movies and id compare it to something like a good starwars movie from the origenal trilogy. its so good at the time that its flaws dont matter anymore to most people because it creates a myth amongst society around it which fills in the blanks for most people who have the new experience with it

That's definitely true that it had a major impact on games that came after it

I didn't hear about OOT, until I looked up the walkthrough

OOT falls into that 3D Zelda trap of "puzzle = find the thing or use the new thing"

But that also doesn't make it better quality than games that aped it and did some things better

I was going through the n64 roms

to say overrated is to say people are wrong at being people

And I played OOT

That's the regular zelda puzzle formula

The reason is that OOT was baby's first Zelda. But it's coming up past OOT

as the 2nd, and the 3rd, so on and so forth

OK, but an actually underrated zelda game: Ancient Stone Tablets. That game needs a re-release

It's like how despite how a lot of people did start with Fallout 1 and 2, it's really common to find someone who began with 3

And thus has a really warped view of the series

people who talk about how oot is great dont say the older games arnt

at most they will complain about newer ones

You can't just pave over every claim with "muhpinion"

Yeah, if people have legitimate complaints then that's fine, but some people actually will like those things that others complain about

DW is **trash** but I still love it

I loved (and still do) Gothic games and they sure as hell were flawed

christ I wish from software would go back to armored core, and armored core was a mess

i dont think you really love something until you actually find something whos flaws you also like

That doesn't mean the bosses were all bad, just that the tool you used was obvious

It meant that the bosses had a fair amount of variety to them in how to open their weak points

Yeah, and most FF dungeon bosses can be summed up by "use attack, and magic its weak to, but heal when you need to"

Then they increase the difficulty

Like having to shoot a torch
