It was an action game
i actually beleive they were too
Boss fights are the same shit. Use new thing, done
What
That's so dumb
In every single possible manner
That doesn't mean the bosses were all bad, just that the tool you used was obvious
That's literally any game with dungeons
It meant that the bosses had a fair amount of variety to them in how to open their weak points
egoraptors one true critism that i agree with for legend of zelda is that how if shooting an eyeball above a door a puzzle?
It's not lol
yeah
How are you defining dungeons though?
@Arch-Fiend it wasn't a puzzle. It was meant to make you accustomed to new items
Likek the bow
yes but it was a bit too hands on
Like FF and BG have dungeons
to the point of assuming the player is retarded
What
A large thematic connection of rooms that have to be solved in a certain order which are placed separately from the rest of the game's world
You get an item
They give a a bunch of easy tasks
Like shooting eyes
Yeah, and most FF dungeon bosses can be summed up by "use attack, and magic its weak to, but heal when you need to"
Then they increase the difficulty
Like having to shoot a torch
Then again
Where you have to shoot a torch through flame
And then you have to shoot moving targets
That's because FF generally steers towards easymode, but not all JRPGs do
there was a puzzle in the last temple of the game where all you do is move mirrors that you do not have to do anything more complicated than turning those mirrors to face the only logical direction for them to go, this was also the last puzzle of that temple. the only challange was the enemies of each room you enter
FF is one of the most simplistic and shallow JRPG series out there not that they're bad
And then you have to shoot moving target through flames
SMT also has dungeons, if you want to get into that
SaGa
What's your point?
No one said Zelda had the only dungeons
infact there were harder puzzles earlier in that temple
I'm fond of Etrian Odyssey myself.
The claim was that "all games with dungeons" work in the Zelda manner
