I've tried quitting 5 times now. I go close to 50 days but have to have it after that, lol.
Realy? If i stay 2 days without cofre I start dying
Yeah I'll put the designs on other merch
You are taking the self-improvement seriously, heh? (Not sarcasm)
I try to! I've cut all sugars and most carbs. I still eat vegetables and rice but want to limit to just vegetables. I only eat 4-6oz meat. Experiment on myself. I am currently on a water fast so I only drink black coffee or green tea. I'm 10 days into my water fast.
Day 2-3 is the hardest because the body switches from glucose to ketones for energy. I get really groggy and sleepy.
Grate cauliflower or brocoli and microwave it for like three to four minutes.
You get a rice replacement.
THAT is happening today for dinner ๐
Thank you!
@machtyn I feel sleep and groggy as well all the time ,I totally cut sugar out but it didn't work
@MGTOW INDIAN Well, for me, it was sugar AND breads/pastas. I also stopped eating prepared meals. I COOK all my own meals.
It took me 3 months to get out of that feeling, btw.
I'm still figuring myself out but this has worked for me. Whenever I cheat and eat toast with breakfast, I get sleepy for 2-3 hours after eating.
Ok so, no sugar and eat vegetables.what about water fast
I don't suggest doing this but this is what I am doing..
I am on day 10 of a water fast. I only drink filtered water and electrolytes (look up "lyteshow" on amazon for the idea).
I am only doing this as a test of mental will for myself.
I normally eat 1 meal a day within a 1 hour window every day. So I fast 23 hours per day and eat 1 meal at 1600, then at 1700 I workout.
Ok got it
This is very unconventional
So be careful if you try it out...
Dr Jason Fung is my resource for learning about it.
I really feel more clear and focused when fasted. It's a personal preference.
I'll check that out thanks mate I have been struggling with grogginess and sleepiness
Days 1-3 are intense. Your body is switching from glucose as energy to ketones for energy so you are in a version of detox.
Alright what is the fundamental difference between a Ketone and glucose
As Sources of energy
I also lowered my caffeine down to 300mg per day. I have one cup at 1000 and my other cup at 1400.
Ketones are using your body fat as fuel.
Glucose is from carbs/sugar conversion; from my knowledge.
Again, I don't know it all and this is just something I am trying personally so do your own research.
I am recording it all and got my blood work done before I started and once I'm done I will get my blood work done again.
I also record my ketone levels via piss sticks.
Ok I don't drink coffee I think the more I drink it the more the tolerance I have for coffee
I suggest reading Dr Jason Fung's blog and listening to all his YouTube. It will take you a full day to consume it all but it's worth it.
What is piss sticks
Yes, coffee is intense. I am looking at transitioning to green tea instead.
In your opinion is milk fine
I pee on a stick that scores my ketone level.
I personally don't eat any dairy except kerrygolds (grass fed) butter and blue cheese.
I'm not sure on milk. I personally dislike it.
Milk in tea seems cool.
Look up "smack fat" keton test stripes for more information.
Oh so you are really serious about your health
That's good
Health is wealth! :)
Exactly for the past 6 months i have also been trying to take care of my health my diet and exercise
Well, ketosis is one method for weight loss and lower insulin resistance. I use fasting and low carb eating along with lifting heavy weights and rowing as tools. But those are my tools. They may not work for you. There is no one way to eat properly so don't get locked into one ideal. Always experiment but make sure to give each method a proper test period (180 days at least).
I personally try to remain in "optimal" ketosis which is 3-5 mmol/L.
Right I usually follow the conventional method I haven't really gone for the unconventional methods yet
I was just trying to learn the unconventional methods and the science behind it
I'm excited for this fast though because I plan on going a little extreme... I plan on fasting as long as my body can take it. Once I enter "starvation mode" (hunger in throat instead of stomach and tongue losing all color), I will break my fast with beef bone broth, yogurt and dark green vegetables.
Yeah, for fasting I suggest Dr Jason Fung.
Ok
FUCK THE BANKS
Why?
Ever heard of the Federal Reserve system?
Ever wonder why everyone uses money?
Okay.
Or better yet, who controls and gets to decide why and how money is controlled?
Jews.
Not quite...
I would like to caution against asigning too much blame.
I frankly don't care.
As a MGTOW man we look at the system and live our lives in a way that best suits us.
When you blame someone else you take away your ability to make change
Well... if you want to buy things and start to wonder why you have to sell your labor-power in order to live, perhaps you ought to be more curious.
@Lilu How so?
ideally focusing on what you can do and actions that you can take to make your own life better are likely more beneficial to yourself
I'm not saying that understanding the system is bad
I am just cautioning that there is a fine line between identifying a certain condition and become a victim by assigning blame and thus responsibility to another.
I agree that the banking and tax systems are messed up.
I'm just saying that there are ways around things.
@Lilu What do you mean by "become a victim"?
@Seven Of Swords Yes, a good book is the "The Creature from Jekyll Island"
I guess a really good example would be in MMO games. If they devs do some hotfix to WoW that disadvantages your class... You could complain about how Survial Hunters just got fucked last night or you could figure out which new spec to switch to or how to change your gameplay to adjust or maybe just play a different character etc...
So when you blame someone else you remove your ability to change the situation. When you take responsibility you put yourself in a postion of control and power.
There is a fine line between learning the rules of the game an complaining about your victimhoood.
When you blame someone else you assign them responsibility over your life in that aspect. You lose control where instead of blaming you could pivot and take control in a smaller aspect.
I love your mindset, Lilu!
ya
@Lilu What books or content creators do you mostly consume relating to that mindset? I always kind of knew but heard it verbalized by Jocko Willink and others.
I believe life is all about perspective. In MGTOW circles I try to bring things back to a perspective that keeps personal power and control over one's life at the forefront.
@Lilu Is it more like your class got screwed over in WoW or is perhaps more like you are strapped to a chair and made to play WoW with the class that got the short end of the stick and you cannot change characters at gunpoint? Then you notice that tons of other people are in the same situation...
@Lilu How do you have personal power when you cannot even have the power to live how you want?
I'm 47 so I've been around and can't fully recall where all of my base viewpoints came from.
I must ask, is it a bad thing when a girl wants you to smile and not look grumpy?
@Seven Of Swords Yeah, we're all on the American Government Platform (tm). We have to pay taxes to exist here. You can leave to another country, go off the grid as much as possible or try lobbying for change.
@machtyn Ok... why should there be taxation?
@Lilu I'd love to chat sometime and encourage you to write an article on responsibility. It's very Stoic. I love it.
So it's nearly impossible to smile and still be angry. Likewise the act of standing tall with your head highand shoulders straight makes you confident.
@Seven Of Swords It's not why it's what is. Same with why is female nature this or that. It is. Thus, you need to take control over your small circle of influence within it. The government SHOULD be small. It shouldn't have any welfare. It should just protect/serve/basic infrastructure and taxes supply that.
Going "off the grid" is pretty much impossible because the Government declared that all land that isn't privatized is its own... because of its own sovereignty.
Yes, imminent domain.
