Whats this "above sea level" you refer to? 😛
🤔
That's what, like a 3h drive? That's less time than it takes for me to visit my grandmother, and she lives relatively close
3h drive and i'm in a different country, with a different language 😦
It takes like 7 hours to reach some towns on the highway at full fuckoff speed, and they're of even a third of the way up the province
Half my country is below the sea 😛
I live in a mountainous region that is also huge
And quite often the nearby facilities don't have what people need, so they have to come all the way down to the border
apparently my flat (at least the ground floor) is 2.69metres above sea level
So the Taliban is on Twitter?
All I see are anti-Taliban accounts.
I saw Tim's tweet about the obese model thing and just remembered I saw this from Clickhole
It's a bloody perfect summary
wow she seems fatphobic
Kek
Oh wait maybe its that body positivity thing
The idea that you should love yourself no matter your size
My favorite thing about this whole ordeal is all the people I've seen who call the cover inspiring then asking people 'how is a woman just appearing on a cover promoting unhealthy lifestyles?' when the exact same argument was made to convince people it was wrong to have extremely thin models.
I think that means you can like yourself if youre healthy too
Everyone that tries to do Onion-esque comedy fails
Why is that
Because onion knows what theyre doing
You can love yourself despite your flaws but still want to improve yourself. That improvement should be part of loving yourself.
They take it to the right level of ridiculous
Clickhole is part of The Onion.
Take a plausible story and create a weird scenario relating to it
For example when talking about Muller investigation theyll run a story describing how Muller was snooping around inside donald trump's home when he returned early
And had to hang off the celiing for hours until he went to bed
Guys Clickhole is a parody website ran by the Onion for the record
They were memeing about it
seems like marketers want any body shape except average 😛
but then i guess people dont wanna really see average?
Back from AFK anyway
I know that's why I brought it up
Marketers just want whatever will get them the most attention, and vocal minority mobs have used that to their advantage by doing their best to monopolize conversation
I see it like this; fat people know they're fat, but "love yourself" gets conflated with "it's unhealthy". People should realise it's the wrong choice to be unhealthy but you can *still make that choice.* The problem is advertising unhealthy lifestyle choices to children, which is why we don't advertise cigarettes or guns to children
Because they're too young to understand fully the repercussions
They didn't just have an overnight moral rebirth and have realized the error of their ways, they carefully measured the public opinion and decided that any criticism earned from this move was worth the praise and attention
Iran so hostile towards US... always... 😛 https://twitter.com/Ruptly/status/1038473287754383361?s=20
