The idea that you should love yourself no matter your size

2018-09-08 18:04:55 UTC

My favorite thing about this whole ordeal is all the people I've seen who call the cover inspiring then asking people 'how is a woman just appearing on a cover promoting unhealthy lifestyles?' when the exact same argument was made to convince people it was wrong to have extremely thin models.

2018-09-08 18:05:03 UTC

I think that means you can like yourself if youre healthy too

2018-09-08 18:05:06 UTC

Not just unhealthy

2018-09-08 18:05:21 UTC

Everyone that tries to do Onion-esque comedy fails

2018-09-08 18:05:25 UTC

Why is that

2018-09-08 18:05:39 UTC

Because onion knows what theyre doing

2018-09-08 18:05:43 UTC

You can love yourself despite your flaws but still want to improve yourself. That improvement should be part of loving yourself.

2018-09-08 18:05:48 UTC

They take it to the right level of ridiculous

2018-09-08 18:06:02 UTC

Clickhole is part of The Onion.

2018-09-08 18:06:07 UTC

Take a plausible story and create a weird scenario relating to it

2018-09-08 18:07:16 UTC

For example when talking about Muller investigation theyll run a story describing how Muller was snooping around inside donald trump's home when he returned early

2018-09-08 18:07:29 UTC

And had to hang off the celiing for hours until he went to bed

2018-09-08 18:07:39 UTC

Guys Clickhole is a parody website ran by the Onion for the record

2018-09-08 18:07:43 UTC

They were memeing about it

2018-09-08 18:07:45 UTC

seems like marketers want any body shape except average 😛

2018-09-08 18:07:59 UTC

but then i guess people dont wanna really see average?

2018-09-08 18:08:15 UTC

Back from AFK anyway

2018-09-08 18:08:21 UTC

I know that's why I brought it up

2018-09-08 18:09:10 UTC

Marketers just want whatever will get them the most attention, and vocal minority mobs have used that to their advantage by doing their best to monopolize conversation

2018-09-08 18:09:38 UTC

I see it like this; fat people know they're fat, but "love yourself" gets conflated with "it's unhealthy". People should realise it's the wrong choice to be unhealthy but you can *still make that choice.* The problem is advertising unhealthy lifestyle choices to children, which is why we don't advertise cigarettes or guns to children

2018-09-08 18:09:57 UTC

Because they're too young to understand fully the repercussions

2018-09-08 18:10:32 UTC

They didn't just have an overnight moral rebirth and have realized the error of their ways, they carefully measured the public opinion and decided that any criticism earned from this move was worth the praise and attention

2018-09-08 18:14:41 UTC

Iran so hostile towards US... always... 😛 https://twitter.com/Ruptly/status/1038473287754383361?s=20

2018-09-08 18:15:58 UTC

"these a$$holes want to negotiate... what evil ba$tards!"

2018-09-08 18:17:00 UTC

No no you have to go first - iran

2018-09-08 18:17:37 UTC

We know weve been screaming death to america for a long time and our ayatollah said "this is the age of missile building and anyone who says otherwise is a traitor"

2018-09-08 18:17:53 UTC

But we just dont get why you're so mean to us

2018-09-08 18:17:56 UTC

Apparently my grandma went to high school with Matt Groening 🤔

2018-09-08 18:19:40 UTC

2018-09-08 18:19:50 UTC

prepare your butts

2018-09-08 18:25:39 UTC

Have you seen the McBain movie?

2018-09-08 18:25:57 UTC

Splice all the McBain clips together and it actually makes one

2018-09-08 18:34:28 UTC

Article 13 HYPE

2018-09-08 18:34:40 UTC

Whos psyched to have the internet as we know it ended by eurocucks

2018-09-08 18:35:20 UTC

Cant wait for people to say that we should follow Europe when this goes through

2018-09-08 18:35:46 UTC

Can't we just kick the EU off of all the good sites?

2018-09-08 18:36:01 UTC

of course you shouldn't, just like EU shouldn't follow with anti-net-neutrality laws

2018-09-08 18:36:57 UTC

Friendly reminder that large companies can do whatever they want under Net Neutrality laws, they just have to mention editing your service in the TOA

2018-09-08 18:37:08 UTC

It would be interesting to see what happens if the internet does splinter into an EU-compliant side and a global side. Probably not good, but interesting.
