I hate the term character development btw. Half of the time people use it it means "giving the audience a better insight into who that character is and how they function" and half the time it means "how the character changes over the course of the story"

So I see it more as like, yes you can have more detail on why their thought process *changes* but that's extra insight into character development, is how I usually describe it in D&D
