The case would have been proven long ago
But that is what our justice system is for: To go on evidence and follow due process, not to satisfy your thirst for revenge of who you perceive wronged you.
Undead Mockingbird's rule for rape prosecution:
No fucking evidence? No fucking prosecution!
Cases being behind closed doors has precedent, but it's very narrow. The 6th amendment guarantees a public trial.
Europe has very private court cases and it sorta works.
The reason for public trials is to insure transparency and avoid a China scenario.
There are ways to run these trials and keep details sealed (in a way that's 6th amendment compliant).
But I think that's not really the point for a lot of these people.
Think cases done like 4chan
And the only people who're allowed to know the accuser and the accused are the defendant and prosecutor
That's not really practical.
I haven't thought it out
You would be able to peice together who the people are based on presented evidence.
Like, if there's addresses for example.
Or vehicles involved.
With license plates.
It would be extremely hard to censor enough to prevent court watchers from figuring out who's being talked about.
There are ways to frame things without revealing enough info to find the people
Not really.
You can hide for a little while.
But as evidence enters, it becomes dramatically harder with each new piece of evidence.
It's really not hard to unmask someone if you've got the time, money and know-how.
But as soon as people start talking neighborhoods. And people start disappearing from work to make testimonies...
Really not hard to figure out the parties involved.
According to WaPo the only data on false accusations puts it at 7%
If that is based on all occurrences there should be 70 little people not 2
There should be 400 people for reported and around 370 for faced trial.
30 of them would be jailed
Which is actually scary when you consider more innocent people are suffering than rapists are actually being jailed.
Not sure how to fix that but... damn...
I searched the innocence project database
362 people exonerated of crimes they did not commit
267 of the cases invovled rape
around 73% of the innocence project dealt with exonerating false rape convictions
So that's different than a "rape culture" which is what it's trying to convey
Imo
that's terrifying. any chance we could get a link to this data for posting at people?
I think the statistics for rape convictions are in line with other crimes
But need to be improved.
Timcast raped me on the night of Nocember 35th 2019
i'm gettin real tired of not having links ready for when people talk about how muh false rape accusations are too rare to care about
Timcast raped me on the early morning hours of July 4th 1776 behind the Boston state house
As in you think false rape. Accusations are higher than believed?
jesus fucking chirst
so
last night a twitter person I follow had a depression and I was tweeting support at them as one does
In False Rape Allegations Eugene J. Kanin, Ph.D. found 41% of accusers to not only have lied but to later have admitted to having lied. Its published in Archives of Sexual fichavior, Vol. 23, No. I, 1994
In 2009, germanies largest victims ambulance - that are the guys which exist to help victims - found at least 29% false accusations purely based on medical evidence - that is, 29% of accusers went as far as to inflict injuries to themselves and tried to present those as evidence of a rape or sexual assault. @Timcast
this morning he tagged a shitton of people me included saying thanks
I joked, as I was now in a converastion with upwards of 15 people, that I was lonely and wanted followers
