200,000 is a very small number

2020-03-30 15:46:44 UTC

We can lose 90,000 in a bad year just from the flu

2020-03-30 15:47:36 UTC

even if you don't believe China's numbers...look at South Korea. Italy is just starting to turn the corner.

2020-03-30 15:49:10 UTC

Yeah, I get it and agree all nations should follow suit

2020-03-30 15:49:18 UTC

But they haven't been

2020-03-30 15:49:50 UTC

At least this should help some people, hopefully and not kill too many.

2020-03-30 15:55:13 UTC

Italy leveling off there too in the total deaths/new daily deaths. They'll show what to expect in the next couple weeks

2020-03-30 15:55:36 UTC

Thats if italy isnt lyin

2020-03-30 15:56:38 UTC

Probably not about the deaths, they haven't the capability to really test everyone they need to so as with many places the accuracy of cases is questionable.

2020-03-30 15:56:39 UTC

well, everyone's lying then because they can't test everyone. I doubt Italy would cover up number of deaths.

why look at italy when you can look at SK?

2020-03-30 15:57:34 UTC

True

they have been meticulously tracking every single case and isolating them so that is the most accurate number we possibly could get.

Italy has so far not done that because of the limitations: laws and industrial capacity.

2020-03-30 15:58:42 UTC

Because South Korea locked down early, they have a small country and a unified culture. The US would experience things more like Italy

2020-03-30 15:59:13 UTC

Wait...I don't understand you **donborvio**. I thought they reopened Wuhan and they are having again problems with the resurgence of cases.

2020-03-30 15:59:29 UTC

What makes you think that won't happen anywhere else.

2020-03-30 15:59:58 UTC

I haven't seen reliable reporting that says that.

2020-03-30 16:00:06 UTC

Ok...

2020-03-30 16:00:46 UTC

Wuhan is stilly lying about cases so they can get the place opened back up. Beijing said if they go 2 weeks with no new cases it can open back up.

2020-03-30 16:00:47 UTC

They were worried about it from outside, and banned foreigners. Which is something the US should do until the 18 month period is over

2020-03-30 16:01:04 UTC

china is still lying

2020-03-30 16:01:23 UTC

I mean, we saw police and staff refusing treatment for citizens who are crying but aren't allowed in...

is there anyone who does not know that already? why do everyone seem to keep wanting to be the one to say chyna liars scum etc.

2020-03-30 16:01:40 UTC

Sure, that way it's easy to keep the numbers down.

2020-03-30 16:01:49 UTC

Wuhan is still DEAD.

If you want to see a place that has nearly returned to normal try Shenzhen.

2020-03-30 16:04:41 UTC

Still an unusually low amount of traffic on weekends and non-rush hours but getting better over time.

2020-03-30 16:04:42 UTC

everyone's social credit score must be too low to drive

2020-03-30 16:06:32 UTC

Beijing is still clearly only allowing travel for work.

2020-03-30 16:07:15 UTC

So don't let anyone tell you China has this beaten and is fully back to normal.

2020-03-30 16:07:29 UTC

Plus, the propagation is far wider, some epicenters are just now 'blooming'

This is why:

I still wonder if I got it already back in December, and it was like two bouts, a short recovered period and more coughing after. Didn't feel like fluid in my lungs or anything, but I did cough up a lot of crap in the first week. Then it was a dry cough for round 2 (less severe symptoms)

get an antibody test if it is avaliable in your area, ez shit to find out.

2020-03-30 16:12:15 UTC

I don't remember ever having a flu last that long except one year I had a lingering cough for 6 weeks but felt fine

2020-03-30 16:13:24 UTC

Don't think people are taking the necessary precautions so the final headcount will be much worse
