The problem of super spreaders might just solve itself if someone grief because of their loss and takes it out on retards like them, I would not shed a tear <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898> sorry but if you cannot even take basic precautions as a teenager, why should you live <:hypersmugon:544638648721604608> ?

https://doi.org/10.1136/GUTJNL-2020-320926 A very interesting read where they've got a fairly large sample size better than other studies I've seen and posted here. It is from 24 march 2020, I might have posted it already.
They don't flat out state it anywhere but if I'm reading that right it looks like you have at least double the chance to end up in sever or critical condition if you present GI symptoms.
Maybe closer to 3x chance.
``` Of patients with cOViD-19 with gi symptoms, 17 (22.97%) and 23 (31.08%) had severe/critical types and family clustering, respectively, significantly higher than those without gi symptoms, 47 (8.14%) and 118 (20.45%). ``` you mean this paragraf? because they are mostly expressing what they've got their hands on the patients. Table 1 is a pretty good indication percentage wise. @AdamBv1
@AdamBv1 This is what you should really read is the discussion tbh. ``` We further analysed the epidemiological and clinical char-acteristics of patients with COVID-19 with GI symptoms. We identified a significantly higher rate of >38.5°C fever and family clustering, increased complications of ARDS and a high severity tendency (rate of severe/critical type, mechanical ventilation and ICU admission) in patients with COVID-19 with GI symp-toms, when compared with those without GI symptoms. We suspect that GI symptoms may cause patients with COVID-19 to be more prone to electrolyte disturbance, such as significantly decreased serum sodium levels (p=0.016), and hence they trend towards the severe/critical type of the disease. ```
Yeah, table one shows 2.8x the chance of severe/critical.
They do admit their study seems to show a higher than normal incidence of GI tract issues than reported elsewhere.
Ye, but that is honeslty expected, because if you have GI symptoms you lose body fluids more rapidly etc, the severity and lack of water etc contirbutes to the immune response.
But it is always nice to have some evidence for your hypothesis
But then I look at these numbers given by the Wyoming Department of Health.
Oh boy, Europe have now got another Hitler...
I reeeeeealy hope the antibody treatment is at least going to take us closer to a universal corona-shield
Or it's a trap to give more people AIDS.
Seriously man, really?
You must be shitting me
universal corona-shield? never heard of transplating antibodies as being as effective as vaccine. btw @Sq crcl stop having me blocked reeeeeeeee
@ᚠᚢᛖᛚᛖᛞᛒᚣᚳᚨᚿᚳᛖᚱ
Tell me why should I unblock you and I'll consider.
I joke... ||mostly...||
That was scary **Adam**
idk why you even blocked <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898> in the first place. I just post sci articles and give info sometimes shitpost.
Nevermind then. No hard feelings. Thanks.
Jesus Christ man
@AdamBv1
I seem to recall some controversy around a bloodbank that wasn't going to refuse donors with AIDS or something... Do you recall something of the kind? Does it ring a bell to you? (idk, maybe it was a satire I have stuck in my mind for some odd reason)
@AdamBv1 btw, a general rule of infection more symtoms -> more things body do to cope with infection -> more resources required etc. But GI infection really concerns me considering what other type of infectious pathways it might take.
@Sq crcl Nothing is coming to mind but I wouldn't be surprised if something like that popped up in CA.
@ᚠᚢᛖᛚᛖᛞᛒᚣᚳᚨᚿᚳᛖᚱ Yeah, that makes sense.
Haha, don't beeee meeeen hahaha
Thanks
