Yeah. The only way to "Treat the disease of immigration" is to stop people from wanting to immigrate. Either fix their countries, make our country less appealing, or kill them so there aren't people that want to come here

2018-10-30 06:46:28 UTC

I think that's the wrong solution

2018-10-30 06:46:39 UTC

The only course of action is to reinforce our ability to repel illegals, like walls, more border patrol, etc

2018-10-30 06:46:51 UTC

We need to decentivise people from coming here

2018-10-30 06:47:06 UTC

i say we fix the counteries, it just feels wrong letting those places be a complete mess when we have the power to forcefully fix it, ya know?

2018-10-30 06:47:07 UTC

And that requires 1 of 2 things

2018-10-30 06:47:45 UTC

Make welfare increasingly difficult to get or completely rid ourselves of it entirely

2018-10-30 06:48:13 UTC

I think fixing a broken country is impossible

2018-10-30 06:48:22 UTC

That wouldn't stop it. America is just great and people would come here regardless of welfare

2018-10-30 06:48:23 UTC

it was a tounge in cheek comment

2018-10-30 06:48:43 UTC

if we were to go in and fix it, that would just piss them off and cause more issues in the long run

2018-10-30 06:49:02 UTC

But it would incentivize integration and legal status over illegal status

2018-10-30 06:49:15 UTC

It would be a step in the right direction

2018-10-30 06:49:17 UTC

We'd have to either make America suck more than their countries, make their countries better, or KILL THEM. That's why the only thing we CAN do is repel them and hopefully encourage them to fix their own countries

2018-10-30 06:50:15 UTC

I dont think its immigration that's the issue

2018-10-30 06:50:37 UTC

Then what have we been talking about?

2018-10-30 06:50:45 UTC

I think it's more the incentive to not integrate that drives more illegal immigration

2018-10-30 06:50:47 UTC

Immigration and illegal immigration both stem from the desire to come to America

2018-10-30 06:51:13 UTC

The incentive to not integrate drives illegal immigration...

2018-10-30 06:51:18 UTC

What? That's actually nonsense

2018-10-30 06:51:27 UTC

Becuase if your incentivized to integrate your more likely to legalize yourself

2018-10-30 06:51:37 UTC

People don't go to places just because they don't have to integrate.

2018-10-30 06:51:44 UTC

But maybe I'm just ignorant

2018-10-30 06:51:49 UTC

They can not integrate to a new culture in their own countries

2018-10-30 06:52:01 UTC

integeration has nothing to do with it

2018-10-30 06:52:05 UTC

and the end of the day its resources

2018-10-30 06:52:06 UTC

The whole point is to be in a better country for better economic and safety issues

2018-10-30 06:52:09 UTC

^

2018-10-30 06:52:12 UTC

Resources

2018-10-30 06:52:18 UTC

people see america has more resources to use, they want a slice of the pie

2018-10-30 06:52:26 UTC

thats all it is.

2018-10-30 06:52:42 UTC

Then we could never solve immigration

2018-10-30 06:52:42 UTC

people will constantly try and sneak in and take benefit of it, even if their country was okay.

2018-10-30 06:52:46 UTC

exactly.

2018-10-30 06:52:53 UTC

the best you can do is filter it.

2018-10-30 06:52:55 UTC

While the fact that we have "Little Mexico"s sounds good to Mexican Illegals, they'd come regardless because America has resources

2018-10-30 06:53:10 UTC

Yeah that's what we've been saying

2018-10-30 06:53:14 UTC

There's no curing immigration

2018-10-30 06:53:33 UTC

Unless you make other countries where immigrants come from 1st world and prosperous

2018-10-30 06:53:44 UTC

Maybe I am to much of an optimist but I think there is solutions

2018-10-30 06:53:54 UTC

Unless you find immigration as an issue
