hehe edgy intertwined word

2018-11-02 20:23:22 UTC

Lol

2018-11-02 20:23:27 UTC

you edgelord you

2018-11-02 20:23:45 UTC

I wouldn't say they're intertwined either,

they definately can increase positive influence

2018-11-02 20:23:49 UTC

responsibility and discipline don't always coexist, and building either up is important

2018-11-02 20:23:55 UTC

for some people responsibility has to come first

2018-11-02 20:23:59 UTC

Ready to red pill in exchange for good arguments.

2018-11-02 20:24:25 UTC

otherwise discipline, even if practiced repeatedly, will have no appeal or long term merit

2018-11-02 20:24:33 UTC

@Kali Yuga red pill me

2018-11-02 20:24:42 UTC

the point of discipline is to teach you to roll with things, even if you don't wanna

Its a perfect breeding ground for becoming responsible

"We don't wanna do it, but we have to, so lets get it over with"

2018-11-02 20:25:18 UTC

im only saying this because im one of those dumb highly-open and neurotic people and i have to put responsibility before discipline, discipline is like a stupid buzzword for me without having established responsibility first

2018-11-02 20:25:23 UTC

@Dr.Wol just teach kids to reason and think long term and integrate and that will com with it

2018-11-02 20:25:28 UTC

You definitely can't be responsible and undisciplined

2018-11-02 20:25:51 UTC

isn't enough ttv, cuz ultimately you can reason anything

2018-11-02 20:26:01 UTC

ive been disciplined af and it only made me more depressed because i was told repeatedly i'd be happy if i was simply disciplined but the larger picture wasn't there so i became more nihilistic, and if i could put what that lacking was it was a core understanding of individual responsibility

2018-11-02 20:26:14 UTC
2018-11-02 20:26:19 UTC

I'm a nazi now apparently

2018-11-02 20:26:21 UTC

Sigh

2018-11-02 20:26:27 UTC

arent we all?

2018-11-02 20:26:37 UTC

But i mainly red pill on economics. Some politics and psychology comes in to.

2018-11-02 20:26:40 UTC

discipline isn't there to make you happy, its to teach you to stay in control

its up to you to find out what makes you happy

2018-11-02 20:26:52 UTC

i dont even mean happy

2018-11-02 20:26:56 UTC

i mean any form of meaning in life

2018-11-02 20:27:01 UTC

It hurts me to hear Tim make uneducated econ arguments

2018-11-02 20:27:18 UTC

@Dr.Wol brb ill refute that in a sec

2018-11-02 20:27:36 UTC

and otto, Discipline is less of a trait to make you happy and more of a trait to avoid unhappiness. you can avoid unhappiness through discipline but you still need someone else in your life to tip yourself toward happiness

2018-11-02 20:27:38 UTC

same thing really, its up to you to find your meaning of life, others can only offer you advice/ideas

2018-11-02 20:27:46 UTC

GREAT MINDS

2018-11-02 20:28:44 UTC

`The stream in question was hours of Holocaust denial and the donations were routed to St. Jude`

2018-11-02 20:29:03 UTC

It was just ONE hour of a holocoaster argument between AiU and Harmful

2018-11-02 20:29:16 UTC

Then the holocoaster jokes lasted all night

2018-11-02 20:29:19 UTC

someone in situation i was trying to give example of (neurotic, lacking guidance in early life ) doesnt gives a shit about control once they've got it if they don't know what it stands for, you just get more depressed while appearing to be more under control to the outward world. sorry if this is graining im just trying to express from different personality type why its important to touch on the concepts as different things and not assume having simply discipline in check will lead to everything working out

2018-11-02 20:29:50 UTC

also discipline isn't supposed to prevent unhappiness,

Its literally a method to maintain control of your own impulses so that you won't let things get out of hand

2018-11-02 20:30:13 UTC

discipline is wanting cake really badly, but end up not eating it cuz you don't wanna get fat 😄

2018-11-02 20:30:48 UTC

reeee im not anti discipline reeee, im just saying if this is a recipe its like salt, you can't just cook anything with lots of salt and pretend it will come out good all the other bits matter

2018-11-02 20:31:05 UTC

haha so
