I feel like some people are missing an important point of the Ocasio Cortez rent thing. The two cities she can't afford rent in are run by Democrats. There is a link between the policies she and the democratic party put in place and how unaffordable those place are.

You can balance the budget by spending less, maximize how much you get out of your money, and increase economy so it naturally lowers the deficit.
No need to raise taxes to the point people are homeless and business all but disappeared from the face of our nation.
