But the allied armies were allies of russia
They did not like one another though, that's why the Cold War started the second the Axis were defeated.
The US and Britain needed the Soviet Union, and the Soviet Union needed America and Britain.
Soviets needed the allies, I disagree with the vice versa

Because AF are not Frontline troops.
Army Infantry and Marines have to be constantly PT'd and worked to be ready.
Marines and Airborne have to be ready at literally any second.
Most other army combat units would be ready in the weeks after.
It war was to kick off, Marines have to be ready to head to deploy the exact second it happens, Airborne have to be ready to drop in 18 hours.
The 3 rapid deployment forces are Marines, the 82nd Airborne and 75th Rangers.
I doubt we’ll have a major external war.
Last one we had was Vietnam.
And the other *real* major external war we fought in, was WWII.
