Jesus would have to be unique and distinct in some way. He was one of many claimed prophets throughout history

2018-12-06 01:56:12 UTC

@Salacious Swanky Cat Do you believe in the existence of God with 100% certainty?

2018-12-06 01:56:18 UTC

He was unique, hes the biggest meme

2018-12-06 01:56:33 UTC

Jokes on them , Steam already sold it.

2018-12-06 01:56:39 UTC

Lol

2018-12-06 01:56:39 UTC
2018-12-06 01:56:48 UTC

I don't even believe I am here, with 100% certainty.

For the most part

@Paradox maybe you're just an npc

2018-12-06 01:57:23 UTC

@Bayesed why would my level of belief matter. It proves nothing.

2018-12-06 01:57:25 UTC

2018-12-06 01:57:25 UTC

could be.

2018-12-06 01:57:31 UTC

How can you believe it with 100% certainty? What else do you believe with 100% certainty? To believe in something so absolutely proves your belief is unjustified. Especially when so many people give it near 0% validity.

2018-12-06 01:57:46 UTC

If by that you mean we are all just processes running in a computer program.

2018-12-06 01:57:54 UTC

@Bayesed just like your atheism. Lol

2018-12-06 01:58:14 UTC

Apparently, 40 percent of France doesn't believe in the effectiveness of vaccines.

2018-12-06 01:58:18 UTC

Belief without evidence is faith fyi

2018-12-06 01:58:21 UTC

So I wouldn't go appealing to the mob so quickly.

2018-12-06 01:58:27 UTC

I would assign a probability to there being a god. I would not say there absolutely is 0% chance of a god. I just assign it a very low probability. Because I have seen near 0 evidence to back the claim.

2018-12-06 01:58:36 UTC

So if I can test a thing and observe that it's true, that's not faith

2018-12-06 01:58:47 UTC

Faith is a critical part of how most people function in reality.

2018-12-06 01:58:53 UTC

@Beemann no duh. Atheism is faith based too.

2018-12-06 01:59:04 UTC

But what if you haven't? If you haven't tested it and observed it to be true, isn't that just faith, still?

2018-12-06 01:59:09 UTC

Skepticism and doubt keep people from certainty in even the most well founded beliefs. But we act as if they are certainties.

2018-12-06 01:59:13 UTC

What's the faith? I don't think you've sufficiently provided a case for God

2018-12-06 01:59:27 UTC

Ergo I don't believe he exists, as there is no evidence suggesting this is the case

2018-12-06 01:59:56 UTC

You're going to posit that no evidence exists suggesting the existence of God? Interesting. What do you describe as evidence?

2018-12-06 02:00:07 UTC

There is plenty of evidence, rather it is a matter of agreeing what is evidence and what isn't

2018-12-06 02:00:21 UTC

I explained how evidence based claims could work earlier

2018-12-06 02:00:34 UTC

So, you want physical objects?

2018-12-06 02:00:40 UTC

I would posit what evidence confirms the existence of an absolute being

2018-12-06 02:00:46 UTC

Damn, just when i need an actual doctor opinion, Cat is nowhere to be seen

2018-12-06 02:00:54 UTC

@Beemann the quest for evidence inevitably results in erecting strawmans. You realize that right.

2018-12-06 02:00:56 UTC

I'd want some sort of predictive factor or measurable object

2018-12-06 02:01:03 UTC

Why does existence provide evidence for the being?

2018-12-06 02:01:23 UTC

Many religious people would argue that consciousness in itself is evidence of God. Hence the famous quote from René Descartes, "I think therefore I am."

2018-12-06 02:01:30 UTC

@Beemann alright. Predict the path of individual water molecules in a wave.

2018-12-06 02:01:36 UTC

Well, I'm sorry, it is a bit difficult to provide measurable objects that provide evidence for a non-physical entity without introducing logical proofs.
