I ab to drop some money on an upper and optic

2020-03-27 23:16:47 UTC

Something with many explosions next to your face probably should be tested for QC

2020-03-27 23:16:57 UTC

I’m ab to be good now

2020-03-27 23:18:04 UTC

Yea no

2020-03-27 23:18:10 UTC

I just checked

2020-03-27 23:18:25 UTC

And their omega defense under a different name

2020-03-27 23:19:08 UTC

No good?

2020-03-27 23:19:18 UTC

A .223 is a lower pressure round and will shoot (MAYBE not reliably) out of a 5.56 built rifle BUT a rifle designed for .223 with a 5.56 has a (tiny) chance of busting the chamber. A wylde barrel is tighter to allow more pressure for accurate shooting of a .223 but has been known (not often) to not chamber 5.56 because of reasons (not sure why tho)

2020-03-27 23:19:42 UTC

I was told .223 wylde could take 556

2020-03-27 23:19:51 UTC

But not regular 223

2020-03-27 23:21:18 UTC

I was told it takes both

2020-03-27 23:21:38 UTC

I found a good CMMG upper tho for 280

2020-03-27 23:21:56 UTC

I was too but in building my rifle I did a couple hrs of reaserch and the above statement is what i was able to gather from a shid load of gunsmitting forums. it will if you want a .223 to take 5.56 but any 5.56 should take .223

2020-03-27 23:22:44 UTC

It’s just a CMMG rail and a DPMS upper actually

2020-03-27 23:23:09 UTC

Im very confused this is why i wanna buy a prebuilt

2020-03-27 23:23:27 UTC

What are you confused ab

2020-03-27 23:23:49 UTC

.223 and 5.56 are different (barely)

2020-03-27 23:23:56 UTC

I kmow that

2020-03-27 23:24:28 UTC

Im confused bexause i thought .223 wylde could take both despite being labeled 223.

2020-03-27 23:24:39 UTC

A rifle built for .223 (should not) be fed 5.56 because it is a higher pressure round

2020-03-27 23:24:49 UTC

I know it isnt backwards compatible usually. Like a .38 goies into .357 but not reverse

2020-03-27 23:24:55 UTC

And .380 into 9mm

2020-03-27 23:25:06 UTC

Right

2020-03-27 23:25:39 UTC

I was just gonna get a 556 and not fuck with 223/223 wylde cause i was confusing myself.lol

2020-03-27 23:25:44 UTC

Didnt know that thanks. the wylde barrel has a tighter chamber to keep more pressure to shoot better so it has a stronger chamber

2020-03-27 23:25:45 UTC

Ill atick w 556 builds

2020-03-27 23:25:57 UTC

Yea 5.56 is the way to go

2020-03-27 23:26:01 UTC

Please don't buy DPMS and please buy 223 wylde

2020-03-27 23:26:21 UTC

@Bard so yes 223 wylde?

2020-03-27 23:26:28 UTC

Or stick to 556 standard

2020-03-27 23:26:32 UTC

2020-03-27 23:26:42 UTC

Do your reaserch and make your own decicion

2020-03-27 23:26:43 UTC

Why not a multi cal

2020-03-27 23:27:08 UTC

A 556 can take 223 if youre out of 556. But not the other way around. I know thag much

2020-03-27 23:27:38 UTC

Yes 223 wylde..it takes both calibers and is more accurate of a chambering

2020-03-27 23:28:03 UTC

Thats what i thot

2020-03-27 23:28:16 UTC
