A rifle built for .223 (should not) be fed 5.56 because it is a higher pressure round

I know it isnt backwards compatible usually. Like a .38 goies into .357 but not reverse

And .380 into 9mm

A 556 can take 223 if youre out of 556. But not the other way around. I know thag much
