What was it the Dhali Llama said? "The Migrants in Europe should work to go home and improve their countries?"
If/when the US closes off illegal immigration. There will be natural increase in demand for legal immigration to the US.
And when we fail to develop talent locally because our schools often suck and we neglect our kids, we will fail as a nation since we will not allow the best and brightest in to lift us all up.
And that will be my chance be immigrate legally to the US
Exactly, Critter
Need a physicist here
tbh you dont need school for talent
By schools I mean primary and secondary schools
free market,
If the schools fail, you get talent otherwise from people
since they already failed, and society stands
they're obviously not that important 😛
I think the failure has been increasing over time, but that can be debated. Honestly I struggle myself as a ponder what I did right and wrong as a parent now that my youngest is about to graduate high school.
Cue Picard quotes!
Yeah, I want to do everything in my power to ensure my kids do not go to a public school
I look at what my kids learned compared to what I learned and am dissatisfied. But as I examine how things evolved I have to blame games and the internet...and TV...which I know is likely not popular here. That said, it was my job to control my kids' access and I chose to perform free range parenting. I think I'd do it differently had I to do it all over again. That said, I think my son will still excel, which makes me happy. And my daughter will at least be happy.
if you are dissatisfied, you yourself should teach them what you think they're not being taught in class 😄 problem solved
No good reason humans exist
Wol, I'm not worried about teaching them what they don't get taught
wish that were true
I'm worried about Unteaching bullshit
Wol, we have. My son was fertile ground for it. My daughter not so much.
the best method of unteaching, is to teach them before they get indoctrinated
He's so advanced in math, we had to hire tutors.
We spent thousands on tutors during their school careers.
Math, ASL, chemistry, etc.
eew tutors 😛
We hired hard ass tutors, too 👹
Yeah, I remember being ahead in math and my teacher who was a COMPLETE BITCH kicked me out and told me that I had to listen to her teach even if it's the same stuff
I hated listening to her so much
most of bad education is cuz of the teachers, not the schooling system
I was ruined by my 8th grade math teacher. He was a complete ass. Before that I wanted to be an astronomer. Ended up going the medical route. In the end, I suspect it was for the best.
my 7th grade teacher damaged my math, and when my parents asked how that could happen, she couldn't explain why
I had a problem with math through all of highschool, until i got one teacher in my pre-final year, and he uplifted me, and made me a top mathematician 😄
I'm debating being a truck driver
honk honk
Cuz I love driving
Truck driving is a good trade for the moment. Keep an eye out on autonomous driving, though.
Can't do planes because my vision isn't correctable to 20-20
