idk, maybe u got a song stuck in yoru head
maybe you got tourrett's
lmfao
i think I've made my point clear now
that is so ridiculous I will not entertain that
y is that ridiculous?
what's ridiculous is assuming intent
løgner @exaudi632 jesus elsker
Ah, yes, I had a song stuck in my head mr. judge, that is why I yelled fire. Please don't punish me.
heck, maybe you didn't know and your friends dared you to, there's a ton of reasons
I think we took the conversation to it's conclusion
sure, you think that actions in themselves have an assigned intent. I think differently.
Paradox, I can believe it isn't intentional to cause harm if it's a six year old. but an adult is a different story
I'm sure you have already, but have you talked to any VW bus clubs? I use to own a 1967 vw bus and they are very customizable, just a thought @Timcast
even then, why are people solely believing a 6 yo is beyond me
I don't think that actions have defined intent, but they do have defined consequences
if you yell fire in a crowd, someone will panic
not convinced all people are that stupid
Not sure if VW buses are a big deal on the eastcoast howver
No, but I think there is reasonable evidence to assume intent, in this case. That is how our courts work though. It isn't perfect.
The case of yelling fire in a crowded area.
i haven't assumed intent, i thought that's what we were discussing
and i was disagreeing
you haven't, hiniku is saying that there may be reasonable evidence in the case of yelling fire in a theatre
to convince a court of malicious intent
which is why i am a free speech absolutist, like i said at the beginning, according ot tim's definition.
I think there might be some miscommunication, when did I say you were agreeing?
oh was that an appeal to authority?
How about this Paradox
i was disagreeing with that.
Let's see if we can agree on this
too
If someone has malicious intent to hurt people and yells fire in a crowded theatre, should they be punished?
nope
what?
I think that if your actions cause physical harm to another person, whether your actions were physical or verbal, you deserve punishment. I'm a consequentialist
because yelling fire doesn't hurt people
Ok, well, that is stupid.
it's speech
the people being morons and panicing and trampling eachother is what hurts people, they should be punished for being too dumb
