and it can't be ignored
How do you feel then about cases where the father wants custody? If thats denied would he still be forced to pay if it went after you?
if the father wants custody, it depends, if they both want custody, they can either have joint, or neither gets it, they should have equal opportunity to support the raising of their child
I’m thinking of rewriting The Great Gatsby but posting the title as “Plight of the Damned” and putting it up in Paris
Only change the characters and some Keywords
Would be real interesting to see how single fathers do compared to couples
Same gay shit, same jobs, and same interactions
probably terribly, just like single mothers
I noticed that in some new detergent ads the dad is at home
But I have to wonder if he’s actually married
im sure theyll do better than single mothers. Currently rare case but ive heard men say that it got a lot easier once the mother was out of the picture...
Of course
Top 100 answers on the board says
the cases in which a man gets custody are
No
Ugandan Chungus
currently uncommon cases
“That’ll hold em allwight.”
having two parents working together is generally the best solution, but while I think single fathers and single mothers will have differences in how they raise children, I can say from experience with my parents that neither single parent will be optimal for raising a child
whether one or the other is better is impossible to say on a broad scale due to sample size at the moment, but compared to a two parent household, I'm relatively confident that the difference is negligable
@GoldenPhoenix on suffrage in the US https://www.thoughtco.com/first-woman-to-vote-claimants-3530476
UK, as misleading as the headline may be https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-politics/9933592/Women-voted-75-years-before-they-were-legally-allowed-to-in-1918.html
" Although I knew that in theory women retained the right to vote for some local officials in the nineteenth century, I had never seen any evidence of them doing so in practice. This lack of evidence had led me, and many other historians, to assume that voting was entirely a male prerogative before the twentieth century."
I understand that women were not specifically denied the ability to vote by federal institution, but the goal of suffrage was to secure the right nationally rather than let the states decide, which also secured the right more definitely for other groups
I wonder how men that aggitated for expansion of the franchise by firebombing churches wouldve been treated 😉
most men got the franchise later than white women btw. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_voting_rights_in_the_United_States
Women's suffrage was a mistake
I dont think it made much of a different
After all, 18 is less than 19, and who did prohobition?
At least back then women understood that they had ultimate power over society
"If we make it known and clear that we dont like our men to drink, they wont" - they got a bit more than that even
Women belong in the kitchen making me sammys
