any person with mental or psychiatric issue will suicide if he receives counseling
psychology is hate
Well trans gender people suffer from a mental illness even if it was reclassified from being such
🍤this shrip?
@The Yellow King mental illness and delusion is not the same thing
It's like the people who have any kind of dysphoria the problem isn't their body it is their brain abnormalities
yes Dusty, and depending on what the main character has to overcome, a token person can be beneficial - even though it isn't recommended
@The Yellow King also, no, its not a mental illness. its either psychiatry or neurology.
hi hello
The extra characters should have their own underlining plot as well.
Just look at the people that want to chop their own limbs off actually letting them do it is not beneficial
hoi @Xombii ~
😄
Gender Dysphoria is the Intersex of neurology
With all the plots from all characters coming to head on the finale.
see, you don't want token characters, you want real characters
I never said Token Characters.
I said I wanted the diverse characters to matter.
on one hand yes. supporting characters do need their own story arcs, but when it overshadows the MC that's when the story fails to follow it's own plot (again, that depends on if it is intentional)
Rather it is LGBT, any race, any religion, or any political stance; I want them to matter and have their own stories.
It is though
many people conflate neurology, psychiatry and psychology though.
Only psychology is mental
Oh all right you're using a more specific terminology
Why can't we have those background plots, that really don't take the main focus of the story, but are there if you pay attention?
@Dusty MorganFun fact, there's a trans character in Alien
you're conflating psychiatry with a field of scientific study
Didn't know that Abel.
Lambert was trans
personally, I don't notice token characters (other people always have to point them out for me to see it) because all I want is a well develop character with their own issues and how they overcome them
I was told by my writing class in high school. Just relying on a single plot, you are just putting your eggs all in one basket.
And it didn't matter because she was treated as a normal character with her own faults, ambition, and character
Some people might not be invested in the main story, but they might be invested in a character's story.
(also didn't matter because she was alien fodder)
That is why it is a good idea to have a plot for all the characters, their own stories and struggles.
Alien was pretty progressive for its time, but it didn't ram it down your throat, they just made a good movie.
sometimes multiple plots become too much. Not everyone will realize what is going on until the very end, if they ever realize it
Hell look at star trek
