the real fun is when you do go watch x and come to a different conclusion than them
^
“Actually I think ‘x’ means this:”
I think hes saying if you give 100 dollars in taxes you should get 10 dollars from the government
“No, no ‘xm doesn’t.”
not that the numbers or precents are accurate, but thats the general gist of the idea
“Well if ‘x’ doesn’t mean what I think ‘x’ means, then explain ‘x’’s position to me.”
I respect you guys for trying to get a way to fix this
Fix what?
You’re gay
So the more you contribute the more you get back
I can’t fix your sexuality
that would solve my largest problem with the UBI
I have reach the mindset of just awaiting the mad max world
Okay so for the amount you give in you get a return that’s even
It isn’t what you wanted
But you understand that it will help you later on
Right
UBI is the only solution for a more automated society though
Oh god
please no, no UBI
I dont see an alternative solution when automation kicks into overdrive
Unless theres some sort of massive robitics convention which limits automation
automation has been kicked into overdrive for decades
war, or a new job robots can't do
but UBI can't work
Robots literally take over jobs in fallout
its mathematically impossible
Warfare is already on the table
But you can’t have a bunch of robots working in the police force
Russia and china are both pursuing autonomous weapons systems
And the idea of automated cashiers is almost nonexistent
Id be amazed if other countries werent doing it in secret
Why is it mathematically impossible?
cuz you'd either have to tax everyone 100%, making working useless, meaning the jobs you can't replace yet exceptionally hard to fill
Economies produce surpluses. As long as the UBI pool does not exceed that, the balance sheet remains positive.
or you'd have to hyperinflate every payout session
making the money literally useless to have
But then for each tax you pay 90% of it
And then you’re left with some money
