Ais do kill each other

2019-02-05 16:36:05 UTC

At the moment, no, the laws don't protect AI

2019-02-05 16:36:11 UTC

*exhales smoke* i for one welcome our super intelligent overlords

2019-02-05 16:36:12 UTC

Basically creating a simulation that mimics our world.... that would feel so real like our universe.

2019-02-05 16:36:13 UTC

it's not murder by law.

2019-02-05 16:36:25 UTC

The sims comes to mind

2019-02-05 16:36:29 UTC

So many dead children

2019-02-05 16:36:45 UTC

sounds like Three Body

2019-02-05 16:36:51 UTC

I would consider it immorally wrong to kill another life, even a artificial life that we created that is on par with us.

2019-02-05 16:36:51 UTC

Now, assuming the simulation shares our laws, within the simulation it would be murder

2019-02-05 16:36:59 UTC

If that happened how long before it turned into one big red light district?

2019-02-05 16:37:09 UTC

now we're talkin

2019-02-05 16:37:42 UTC

Kinda like how in GTA you can kill the hoe after you bang her to get your money back and the in-game cops will come after ya, but the cops irl don't come to your house.

2019-02-05 16:38:47 UTC

Humans are artificial intellegence. Change my mind

2019-02-05 16:39:02 UTC

Relative to our reality?

2019-02-05 16:39:12 UTC

Or another?

2019-02-05 16:39:14 UTC

read some gurdjieff

2019-02-05 16:39:14 UTC

Im not sure what u mean

2019-02-05 16:39:24 UTC

Oh the cops will come to your house if you mess with them enough in GTA

2019-02-05 16:39:33 UTC

why do you always need to debate things you don't really understand

2019-02-05 16:39:34 UTC

But we have had self domistication and that made us smarter

2019-02-05 16:39:51 UTC

Therefore intelligence is artificial

2019-02-05 16:39:58 UTC

IE this could be a simulation, but as a simulation we cannot know it and therefore the reality outside of this simulation is irrelevant.

2019-02-05 16:40:11 UTC

So, relative to this reality?

2019-02-05 16:40:20 UTC

Relative to this reality

2019-02-05 16:40:40 UTC

Guys

2019-02-05 16:40:41 UTC

USA is Timberline Lodge from The Shining. change my mind

2019-02-05 16:40:41 UTC

I just think we should treat artificial intelligence with equal rights as we have. We should encourage them to have artificial bodies instead being a hive collective of artificial intelligences.

2019-02-05 16:41:00 UTC

Basically incentives to make them want to go into artificial bodies that will keep them on our level.

2019-02-05 16:41:01 UTC

Ah, then it just comes down to artificial/natural and intelligence.

2019-02-05 16:41:07 UTC

but how would you make the difference between "Artificial" and "Real"

2019-02-05 16:41:25 UTC

I can't make a case for intelligence, but I could make one for natural.

2019-02-05 16:41:31 UTC

Natural intelligence comes from chemical reactions, which those rely on numbers for chemistry to work

2019-02-05 16:41:55 UTC

chemistry is based on atoms trading electrons between themselves

2019-02-05 16:42:02 UTC

Which is still math

2019-02-05 16:42:09 UTC

Which is 1s and 0s

2019-02-05 16:42:09 UTC

the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell

2019-02-05 16:42:13 UTC

yep

2019-02-05 16:42:20 UTC

So were computers

2019-02-05 16:42:23 UTC

Were programmed
