Now
other than the fact that I stufy thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
I was a barista I'm in the secret club
That sounds like bs tbh
it is
Microfoamed milk is an aerated liquid
there is no way in sweet fucking hell a coffee is losing enough heat to have any impact on your enjoyment of it at all

Exactly what I said
so even using that as an exuse is ridiculous

Does the foam come out the same temp as the coffee?
But when it mixes with the shot, or with the crema on top, it's watered down.
My guess is the effect would be pretty negligible if there is any
A perfect jug of milk is exactly the same consistency top to bottom
the thing you have to remember is that the curve for liqud cooling changes in almost no way when adding something to it, so the time it takes for it to cool down is almost negligible
For instance if you were to add milk to a cup of tea first it would cool down slightly slower, but have a bigger initial drop, the graph itself doesn't change

No bad mate no bad
More than anything else it's a mark on the quality of the barista really. Good art is a symbol that people know their shit and are more likely to give you a good coffee
@Hezbollah Agent baristas invariably don't study fluid mechanics
I mean art is art
that's it
just enjoy it for what it is
Like a red dot on a blank canvas

It's one hell of a skill. I got put on barista in february, working a couple shifts a week, till I quit in june and I could only manage a heart that looked more like an arse
