Religion and spirituality is part of being human, I get that.
I support the 1st ammendment except for the right to protest, I like it when I can go places in cities on highways without people standing there yelling
As long as people don’t force it on others, it’s fine.
That includes religion
I think people absolutely have the right to protest, but the question is to what extent can those rights infringe on the well-being of others.
Or even the convenience of others.
Well if you stand in the middle of a busy road and stop ambulences from getting through I dont like it
what kind of argument against god is that
Evidently, a fun little fact, the 1st Amendment only protects citizens from discrimination of the Federal Government, not of the State Governments. That loop-hole wasn't fully solved until the 14th Amendment.
That happened in milwalkee once
?
Sure, for sake of argument if you infringe an Ambulance from going through, you are infringing on someone else's rights.
So I can see a valid argument for that.
Yep
why do you call that an argument against god
It is, more than anything, a postulate.
@manga did you not read the context I gave? It’s essentially saying that if god existed, why do murders and hate still happen? Isn’t he omnipotent?
ok
im no religious person but i know the answer to that
All knowing and all powerful
Also, why does Christianity show god as a male? Why not a female, or maybe ungendered?
To play a bit of a Devil's Advocate, should an Omnipotent God stop murders? And if so...why?
ok
If he doesn’t, he’s malevolent, which defeats the purpose of praying to him.
i dont care much for this discussion i was just wondering
Why ask for help from someone who wishes the opposite on you?
No he shouldn't because it'll mess up the world if we have a immortal god running around murdering people instead of them going to trial
@Saturn No. Because He has allowed humans free will.
there are a lot of religious people here
its drew
😄
Hey manga
hi
There are a lot of religious and non-religious.
hru
@Drewski4343 why doesn’t he make us kinder, while still giving us free will?
Pretty good, you?
im ok
Make us kinder? Like, alter our personalities?
