I saw an article about using old warheads for low scale reactors for small/ medium towns. What do you think of that?

RTGs are good in concept

hydrogen isn't a power source, its like a battery.

I suppose it is a RTG. But plugged into a little nowhere town

But they use highly inefficient thermocouples

And a bit larger

they dont scale well

USSR built a lot of RTGs and just let them sit around

Quick question, if radioactive waste is dangerous because it emits energy disruptive and toxic to life, why aren't there facilities that recycle and convert said energy into a useable form?

like p much all rovers/satellites have an rtg

A group of hikers found one and sat around it for warmth

They promptly suffered severe radiation burns

Rtgs seem like something outta fallout

sounds pretty shaky, also deserts have their own eco systems, add all the SAND and shit and it's not so ideal.

Deep space probes use RTGs to supplement the decreasing amount of sunlight they’re going to encounter in the outer solar system

It's expensive for a radiation suit.

And I can't give you love and affection

Cause I dont think I can love gingers

But RTG output gradually decreases overtime as well

Their power output is only as good as the half life of the material they’re powered on
