@Ater Votum I love how the video starts off, in the first sentence, with a logical fallacy.
The second point is literally 800 yeaes before Jesus
now, while, according to the Hezekiah Tunnels, Hezekiah must've lived about 800 Years before Christ, since he created those 2800 year old tunnels. But these Prisms say that Sennacherib ruled 701 B.C. to 681 B.C.
about 100 years apart
now, from Wikipedia, about the David Inscriptions, translated with 99.9% accuracy by me "The Attention is especially on the mention of a 'House David' . Should this reading be correct, this would be the first Evidence for the mention of a David. If, by this, the biblical David is meant, should remain unanswered for now. [...] The Inscriptions is historical in no case proof for a Unified Kingdom of Israel and Juda under the bilical King David.
on the Nazareth house, all I could find was a christian order of nuns that take in Orphans, and sometimes abuse them.
you have absolutely no evidence that the bible was ever altered
we have some pre-fourth century pieces of the gospels and they're identical to the gospels we have today
well we have as about as much proof that god exists as we have proof he doesn’t exist. And I think it’s rational to go with something not existing if you don’t have sufficient evidence for it
Thats how it works in the court of laws anyway
the criminal doesn’t have a charge until there is hard evidence of proof .
So what should we believe in?
Humanism
The thing that started the enlightenment period
Being good people without the need for divine intervention
Understanding that we are all humans
We all have feelings
basically christain philsophy without the god part
its amazing
Because people can do good without some figure in the sky telling them so
Religion is probably the reason for 80% of all conflict ex. the crusades, protestant massacars and muslim bombings
not saying that's a good reason to argue God exists
There is
but it just is
there's absolutely none
religon is disease that can do way more harm than good
worthless statement
but I also respect the fact that it will always exist.
meaningless i should say
And that there are good believers
Fuck
why
it will always exist because at a deep level you realize that a moral system cannot exist without religion
unless it's some social contract-tier bullshit
in a meaningless existence there is absolutely no reason why anyone should ascribe to any form of morality no matter how "well" you argue it or how arbitrarily well our society would function under it
they may ascribe to it because of social contract but then they aren't really believing this morality, they're just accepting it for their own practicality
it can though
there can be morals without god
there literally can't
how can you define morals without God?
