Now I would say this, not every Democrat is built the same and each one given the chance would do something different that may help or hurt the military overall. You must realize that there are in fact some liberals / Democrats that have military experience and/or fully support the growth of the military.

In the same sense we did have a civil war between liberals and conservatives before. Liberals won.
That’s not to say currently it would be a different outcome, but score is in fact 1-0

What I see as the breaking point is information technology combined with lobbying. The inundation of politicized news and "new civics" over the last 60 years has been able to influence to a huge extent "what the people want".
